Productivity is for robots.
Humans should loiter, go on morning walks, eat a long lazy breakfast with friends, take afternoon naps, and chase sunsets.
Please SLACK. And do not use slack: the app. 😝
Instagram's launching long form videos, with full screen playback.
But the only time I will switch to Insta for long form videos is when it gives me variable playback speed (I listen to mostly everything on 1.5x), and background audio playback on videos.
What do you think?
60,000 Microsoft workers are getting laid off. They can call it whatever fancy PR approved word. But getting fired sucks.
July 2023. The first and only time I got laid off. I have soooooo much gratitude for the universe, for making this happen.
It was genuinely the best thing.
money is going to come from will hit a record high. the beauty of human emotions is that they are all transient. "even this shall pass" in the words of Gautam Buddha. once you have taken your break, start upskilling, start thinking of projects that you would like to do.

Can the 60k people being given the boot from Microsoft all get together and form a new company that builds a version of Windows and Office that doesn’t have AI, doesn’t use Sharepoint or OneDrive and doesn’t suck?

Going for a walk in India often feels like a video game.
On the footpath you're dodging:
- Holes
- Hoardings
- Construction
- Electrical boxes
And when you finally give up and hit the road you're brushing shoulders with autos, wrong-side drivers, buses and water tankers.

– at Navi Mumbai, India

This paper answers why confident idiots run the world.
Cornell University published a psychological paper that explains every terrible boss, every loud influencer, and every broken corporate hierarchy.
It’s called “Unskilled and Unaware of It.”
they tested participants across logic, grammar, and humor to measure the gap between actual performance and self-perception.
And the results are wild.
participants scoring in the bottom 12th percentile consistently believed they were operating in the 62nd percentile.
they were not lying. they were literally incapable of recognizing their own incompetence.
the paper revealed a brutal paradox:
the exact skills required to master a domain are the exact same skills required to accurately evaluate your own competence in that domain.
if you lack the skill, you inherently lack the cognitive capacity to realize you are failing.
this creates a dangerous systemic loop.
the incompetent are blessed with absolute, blinding certainty. their brain protects them from their own ignorance, allowing them to speak first, demand authority, and never second-guess their decisions.
meanwhile, the actual experts suffer the exact inverse.
top performers in the study consistently underestimated their rank. because a task was easy for them, they falsely assumed it was easy for everyone else.
they hesitate. they obsess over nuance. they assume they have nothing unique to add.
we are biologically wired to confuse confidence with competence.
the loudest person in the room gets promoted, gets funded, and gets the microphone, not because they know what they are doing, but because they are physically incapable of seeing what they don't.
the only defense mechanism is building systems that stop rewarding absolute certainty and start demanding proof of work.
Don't be an AI idiot. Don't use AI to write. Don't be an idiot. Use your brain. Language doesn't have to be perfect. It just needs to convey your emotions and message. Imperfections are human. Pls don't become a robot.
nothing comes close to the camaraderie that gym folks have for each other. nothing. supporting, encouraging, being there and holding space. love it so much. so grateful for this bunch. ☺️

Mumbai Pollution: This is not a crisis. This is an emergency situation. In the garb of “infrastructure development” - we have let things go out of control.

Step out for a bit in Mumbai and come back with bad headache, irritated throat and watery eyes!
What is happening to this city? Also, navratri and ganesh chaturthi is done-requesting political parties to take off their banners and faces from the roads!

“The U.S. has benefited from the skills that Indians bring without having had to invest much in their education. Many have earned advanced degrees in America, but the bulk of their training happened in India. A more honest way to see it is that India, along with other poorer countries, has been subsidizing the United States.” theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1…
