Good morning @BBCRadio3 @Ianskellyradio3 Music for household appliances? Might I suggest Malcolm Arnold's 'Grand, grand overture' for 3 vacuum cleaners amongst other instruments? Thank you for the Rutter which my small group has performed several times. Anna, Altrincham

As a child, my dad took me and my brothers every week to our local East Ham Library. Those weekly visits shaped who I am today.
From BBCโs University Challenge to sharing my love of learning on TV and social media, libraries have always been at the heart of my journey.
Libraries are the beating hearts of our high streets and communities. Iโll continue to campaign for them as a former @CILIPinfo (professional libraries body) UK champion and current @readingagency ambassador.
This MBE is dedicated to all our libraries and librarians.
Libraries are FREE for everyone, so letโs use them, support them, and make sure they are properly funded. @NewhamLibraries

Wisdom from Desmond Tutu (d otd 2021) - what a man:
โDo your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.โ
โWe learn from history that we don't learn from history!โ
โDon't raise your voice, improve your argument."

Dear Mogg
As Xmas Day draws to a close just as the sun sets in the east casting shadows across the cricket pitch of life, I dwell on my successes of the last 10 years. My greatest success was Brexit. I was like Henry V winning the Battle of the Boyne.

Today we celebrate Boxing Day in the UK, so named because cats spend the day exploring empty boxes discarded from Christmas Day

I know from my inbox that some people find that history on the @BBC stimulates their minds, fills in gaps in their education, sends them off on fulfilling careers, and even helps them get through illness and bereavement.
I'm proud of the work we do.
