Electorate is notoriously fickle but I’m curious for post election reasons given for either lower turnout or swing voting. My guess is it’s just as simple as the economy. Immigration has been essentially solved so not a motivating factor

Besides the Iran War (a debacle and strategic failure no matter what the actual tactical outcome) it seems the issue which most sunk the GOP was… data centers. I’d like to say: I appreciated Trump and other Rs being sane about them, even if unpopular.

Like I said, I’m at a total loss for words right now. I’ve been politically active for a decade now, never before have I experienced a loss that I felt we couldn’t come back from. This is the first time I’ve felt truly and utterly defeated. Y’all probably won’t be hearing much from me from now on, at least for a while. I don’t plan on ever leaving this site, I’ve put too much effort into building this account and I’ve made a bunch of awesome friend on here who I don’t want to lose contact with, but frankly I don’t see the point in discussing politics much more. It’s over for us.

At this point, what can be won, will be won by Democrats. The question tonight was never whether Democrats would gain. It was whether some of the the red-states would hold. OH, TX, KS, IA, AK. Two of five and the Senate goes with the House.

Absolutely insane that the rest of the country is undergoing GOP Armageddon and Virginia is experiencing a 2022 in reverse.

The idea that “candidate quality” is dragging down the GOP is total nonsense. Ashley Moody is barely doing better than Donalds. Incumbents like Marshall and Susan Collins are in trouble. Both Husted and Vivek are in big trouble. So is the establishment guy in Alaska.
