My first attempt at publishing a journal article is now out. It is a tiny piece from my PhD - not as original- as I wanted it to be. But I am glad I started here. I had a good editor and neither of the reviewers were the dreaded ones.
I love this scene so much. Urvashi's shaky thumbs up, Lal trying hard to sing and not be swallowed by grief.
I like Mammootty quite a bit. But ask him to sing and you might find it a bit unbearable. Unless you are listening to Kattukuyile from Thalapathy.
Lip syncing is the soul of expressions. So it is not surprising that I spent a lot of time watching Mohanlal lip sync - with such ease - that he was almost always the singer for me when a song played.
When I don't write academic articles- I find joyful platforms to write personal essays. Here is my essay on the slow disappearance of cinematic expressions.
Looking forward to the first edition of our grad workshop where final year PhD students cutting across disciplines will discuss papers drawn from their thesis.
