Tomorrow, I’ll be at the National Theatre for Moonshot 2026, and I’m going with an open mind and plenty of questions.

I want to learn from founders who have built things from scratch, understand how they think, steal a few ideas

Maltina got a new look, and as an illustrator, you already know I couldn’t just look at it and move on.
I want you to describe Maltina’s new look with just ONE word in the comments
#NewLookSameMaltina #MaltinaNewLookSameNourishingTaste #WhatsYourWord
Apparently, I’ve been keeping the amazing people @HypeEmpire001 to myself for too long. 😂
Grateful to be building alongside such talented people. Time to show them some love on here too. 🤝❤️ @AkinDayooo @a_samuel33 @Dha_veid

Have you used these new features on Selar or you’re just going to use them after seeing this video, dear creators?
Tell me your feedback on them in the comments or send me a DM 😎

This “supporting 500 people with Dangote shares” thing that Ondo State Governor did with an applause from ONDEA Summy Smart and the audience is still annoying me sha
Spot on
Accountability should go both ways. Facts first, emotions second.
If you want to drag Mazerance and your drag is “he overpayed”, stop dragging founders for paying people badly again as well.
If you want to protect Mazerance too and your say is absolute absolving from effects of not-good-enough choices as a founder, be careful to not mix bias with it as well; good intention doesn’t always equate good acts as well, this lesson has to be learned by us all.
This is why I’m always advocating for everyone to not just be a spectator and also build a product or business as much as being an employee so there can be a balance of thoughts to both sides.
This issue is one that I don’t think anyone should take a side completely if I’ll be honest, we all should just wish that the issue is sorted and everyone is good mehn.
No employee wants to not get paid please, make nothing do my salary because I fit cry… at the same time, some of us are also building our own company and we have headaches on paying people.
Many times I worked for clients with my team and client refused to pay balance (e still sup this year), I’ll chest the debit on my own pay many times, and I’ll also chest the failures that are connected to it first too.
Both the builders and the execs should chest the repercussions of choosing to build amazing things because there’s truly no way around building right that doesn’t come with trouble in sight.
It’s too early for these extreme ends of sides I’m seeing people take here, ahhn ahhn
Honestly, @SafwanAlghazal is probably the only person I’d hear out on this one. At least he’s been consistent with his stance. Y’all were together on the hype train when everyone was praising Mazerance.
Bloody hypocrites 🥱
Some employees knew exactly what they signed up for. Obi, you’ve admitted the communication failures, but that doesn’t change the agreements everyone accepted when the hype was high. You can hold the company accountable without rewriting the story now that things have gone south.
This is a very dicey situation, as some of the documents that I would love to share to debunk some of the statements made, are all internal documents and I don’t consider it professional sharing those documents here.
There are documents that contain an agreement between some of the staff members (about 5 of them) and the company on a deferred pay (read as salaries owed) before they were employed, and they all signed this.
These debts were tied to a Kickstarter launch and a fundraising event which even when these milestones weren’t met, the company kept funding the team through multiple delays.
Some of the other staff members were then later re-engaged earlier this year on an agreement split across three choices: Leave the company with no debt as we couldn’t finance all staff payments any longer, stay with the company and get 50% of your pay (we fulfilled as much of this as we could), stay with the company on a volunteer basis with deferred pay until our Kickstarter or Merch store launches.
None of the staff members' pay were held back last year (asides those who had deferred pay written into their contracts, which they all signed and agreed to)
Number of months of debt owed (3 months, between January 2026 and April 2026 for the majority of the staff and these were tied to milestones and deliverables, which were not met).
Mazerance’s biggest problem was a lack of clear communication and I fully recognize and acknowledge this.
I know emotions are high and that the recent trends in the ecosystem has posed a trust issue, especially with startups, but facts should never be misrepresented to sell a story that isn’t true and this does not show any acknowledgment for a company you once claimed to fully support when things were running smoothly.
Businesses face issues, founders make mistakes, and Mazerance and I are not immune when it comes to the chances of these things happening.
This is not to remove any accountability from me or Mazerance, but facts should never be misrepresented.
The @Mazerance story teaches a real lesson: some people will hype you, follow you, and celebrate what you’re doing, while secretly waiting for you to fail because they want the same opportunity. Admiration can easily turn into resentment when they can’t have what you have.
This particular tweet.
Just pin it somewhere

also be good at social climbing and making connections. target the industry ‘OGs’ and get them to be friends with you so they cover your mediocrity from the hype and cosign they give you. Trust them to be silent when you eventually get outed.
