I used the antiphase demo to explore FFTs a bit, and found the butterfly symmetry behind the O(n^2) -> O(nlog n) jump pretty cool.
(Also loved the Hilbert transform trick.)
Really interesting to see that type of symmetry (apparently) pushed further to get integer multiplication formally below nlog n. xitter.cf/apidcloud/status/20446…

This. The last 20% or so to make it shippable always take the longest, though
the missing piece
New Amp CLI --attach:
Attach files to a new orb thread: `amp --attach ./report.pdf -ox "Extract data from this PDF"` (-ox means --orb-execute)
Or a runner thread: `amp --attach ./report.pdf --executor runner:mac-mini -x "Extract data from this PDF"`

borrowed a version of this tiny helper from @kentcdodds’ dotfiles years ago, back when I used zsh. Still use it all the time, just with fish these days
I prompted Amp to investigate something, ending the prompt with “run forest, run”, and it understood the motivation perfectly and spun up 7 sub orbs 🤓
Some more feedback for @AmpCode:
- when using orb preview/portal, when you use the browser element picker, it would be nice to be able to paste eg a screenshot from the clipboard. I find it super useful when the model is not understanding that something is still not aligned 1/4
A screenshot of that helps:

In this case I already cannot fully see the first window (note the < at the very left). In terms of number of characters, the 2nd window has 84 including spaces and special chars. Window 3 has 85. The first window uses my hostname and contains 21 (or 22 if you count the <)
I’ll also die on this hill. Maybe it’s more of a personal thing but I really cannot have 2 or 3 agents working on totally different things (especially diff projects). I can but either they are unimportant, slop, and/or not used by anyone
Hmm I was only able to get this once I really leave my computer for a while and come back to the same thread. But I think it would be useful (also on demand) even on past threads (maybe only unarchived ones). Imagine you spawn a bunch of threads but keep working on just one or so
Cc @0xBrettj not sure if X is the best way of sharing these, so let me know if there’s some other preferred channel
Not sure where else to ask this, as I don’t think it’s yet public, @vanilagy but any update on the webgpu polyfill you hinted some days ago?
