Owen Jones came on Triggernometry. After being given lots of speaking time, he was asked a few probing questions and immediately turned the conversation into a gotcha style debate. This naturally resulted in him being destroyed with facts and lots of people on the internet laughing at him.

Let’s see.
-Comes up with majority of the ideas against fighting locusts. (Mind you that Lucas is suppose to be the smart guy in the group).
-She has the most moments in the game.
-She has the most lines in the game. Nearly 200 to the entire squad which features either barely 100 or just under that.
-She LEADS the team through 2 ACTS of the game.
-She is the reason Marcus becomes a leader after she tells him to get he’s shit together for some reason.
-the helmet in the home-screen is connected to mags and her earlier comment.
-She helps majority of the time through the game when you play alone through the scripted events.
-She helps more through the cutscenes in the game.
-She usually is commenting right after Marcus through the whole game.
Sounds like the MAIN CHARACTER TO ME.
You don’t have to agree it makes the game shitty but you have to accept reality. Marcus & Dom are side characters practically in this game.
That’s disrespectful towards them and gaming fans of gears of war.
There is barely any brotherhood in gears of war e-day between Marcus and Dom.
When they split up from the group (EVEN LONG PERIODS), it’s never together like in the original trilogy. Even when split up in original, it was usually flanking enemies in the same area and tactical made. They always communicated.
Usually if they have a (RARE) moment in the game together, it’s 2-3 minutes and only mentioning Carlos.
Unless you play multiplayer and someone controls Dom and the other Marcus…all scripted events in-game usually features mags helping out the player. Marcus mostly.
She also helps more helped more than Dom in cutscenes. Dom only helped Marcus at the end of the game.
If brotherhood is in this game between 2 people then it’s Mags & Marcus.
The Twin Brothers in the game showcased more chemistry than 2 of the characters people mostly came to see.
What a waste.
