When presenting an educational argument, start off by saying “Research says…“ and make up just about anything you want. Teachers are too busy to have the time to fact-check you. It is an effective and efficient way of instituting new initiatives that lack any empirical support.

One of the most pointless phrases in education today is “doing something outside of one’s comfort zone“. Given what’s demanded of teachers today, I doubt there are many who are actually comfortable day in and day out being in the classroom.
