I recently spoke to @ductionist of @usercamp about the app, developing for Windows, design etc.

I make a lot of sense on-the-go. But I feel more at home on Windows 10 — delighted to be available on the Microsoft Store!
If you ever use Notepad as a text springboard, ruff is highly recommended as it was specifically designed for this purpose.

Hello World! Yes, I'm still here 👋 I've been on hiatus as @mtrostyle focuses on other fun projects, but he was kind enough to push out a few maintenance updates recently: mtrostyle.net/appytext/chang…. Expect more of the same in the near future if/when needed. 1/2
If it's more substantial updates you're after, then you'll need to wait till 2020 when hopefully @mtrostyle will make the time to work on a 2.0; unfortunately, at this point, I desperately need to be re-written to support new features and a refreshed experience.

I've learnt that a no-name developer can't launch a paid up-front app in 2019. I tried, it failed. Now let's go again.
I'm back from the vets. They said I could only improve if I went free*. Head over to @GooglePlay and get me!
* with an inexpensive in-app purchase that removes ads, enables stashing and supports an indie dev <3

As a modern replacement for Windows Notepad, @appytext provides a clean interface for putting words on the page. A $4 in-app purchase unlocks premium features, such as Markdown support and a “focus” mode that strips away all UI elements while you type. buff.ly/2pqIUhs
In such awesome company — 1 of 25 best productivity apps for 2018!! Thank you @FastCompany's @OneJaredNewman for the recommendation.

1.5.1 out, couple of improvements requested by users:
* Added keyboard shortcut for em dash (—): Ctrl + -.
* Pressing middle mouse button when cursor over tab will now close the file.

Thanks so much @ShirtShanks @NeowinFeed for the recommendation. Happy to see that the app is still being depended on approaching its first birthday. Here's to growing up more before terrible twos. teapawt.net/NeowinFeed/status/9699…
This would help with the maintenance side of things too, meaning it becomes faster and easier to introduce other improvements. After .5 worth of updates, with the existing code-base it's become slightly awkward to update and improve things more.
FWIW: Fluent would have probably been introduced by now were it not for my pretty inflexible layout code. This has lead me to re-evaluate whether it makes sense to clean up the code first to help accommodate Fluent. Means it will take longer but with bonus performance gains.
I'm still here.
@appyweather has been getting more of my @mtrostyle's attention recently. But I heard he's made steady progress and that he might actually (and finally) be able to commit more time to me again soon. Fingers crossed.
Hello World!
Back after a break. Sorry for the delays.
Updates moving forward will target the Fall Creators Update, starting with 1.5. It's a small but necessary one. Details here: mtrostyle.net/appytext/chang….
Gone quiet lately as @mtrostyle's busy wrapping up work on Football Manager 2018. Once that's out in November, expect Fluent goodness.
1.4.2 is out. In the future, I'll research shortcut convention more in order to avoid breaking it. To fix, I've had to move stuff around.
