I'm not trying to go see @taylorswift13 in KC this weekend but am enjoying watching the ticket scalpers on SeatGeek get stuck with dozens (hundreds?) of unsold tix because greed.
Hadn’t seen what the interior of the sub looked like before this. Hoo lord. Of all of the (many!) things that could have gone wrong with this thing, it is pretty amazing that the failure was due to the lack of respect for water pressure.

If I ever need cheering up, remind me that my 4-year-old daughter thinks “Dolly Apartment” is the most beautiful and talented person on earth and she’s pretty much right. @DollyParton /Apartment for life ❤️
Sweet syrupy goodness out there.
A stranger gave an 11-year-old boy with autism who never played piano before a $15,000 piano after hearing him play

Isn't it grand?
So… @MoDOT_KC, @KDOTHQ, @KansasCity @kctransit - can we too? Please oh please? My astigmatic eyes beg you!
Since I’m here I’ll follow up on this - this year I have repeatedly reached out to @KCMOFireDept and @KCMOManager’s City Hall about seizure training and about our not-great experience with KCFD. Total crickets.
As I sit here looking at the $700 bill from @KCMOFireDept for my husband's ambulance ride back in January, I'd like to share a little bit about that experience.
Kinda love the @McTelegraph. Content is locally focused hodgepodge - new issue’s got election coverage, a story about a very small-budget musical filmed in an area event space, a non-disclosed advertorial for gutter covers, and news about a tree-decorating contest.
I don’t know when the last issue was delivered. It could be two weeks or three months before the next one comes. I never asked for it - just a free thing sitting on my lawn now and again.
And that is my tribute to the Martin City Telegraph. Perhaps I’ll log back in to Twitter in 5 months to celebrate our local Price Chopper, or share a recipe. #tweetingover40 #dipintotwitterdipout #hielontwitter #hellscape
But I always read it. It’s not gonna blow anyone’s hair back, but it’s like public access TV on newsprint. And I think I learned more about MO’s ballot reading this week’s issue than I have all year.

Remember when they were trying to figure out why there was a giant drop in crime like 30 years ago and they tried to say it was due to better policing…
And then the Freakonomics dudes figured out it’s because an entire generation wasn’t forced to give birth to unwanted kids.
Also still would love to discuss seizure training for @KCMOFireDept if they would ever be interested to respond. @QuintonLucasKC @BrianDavidPlatt

Hello @KCMOFireDept - I don't think this story ever caught your eye. Could you connect me with the proper person to discuss seizure training for the department?
Most excellent new signage, @cityofKCMO - balancing the line nicely of being impossible to read, ugly *AND* confusing. So tiny the text, so off-center, the everything. @QuintonLucasKC @BrianDavidPlatt
So for anyone who says we shouldn’t regulate guns because “you can just print one using a 3D printer,” look… I use 3D printers more than anyone I know and it’s often hard to consistently make a fucking fidget toy, much less a precise weapon that works.

Anyway. @KCMOFireDept: 1) Thank you to the EMTs who showed up the night we needed them. 2) Your billing sucks bigtime. 3) Please find a way to access some seizure/epilepsy training or information or something for your EMTs.
