This is our zombie trying to pull the boards off the window in Ashgrove. 🧟 It's not working the way we'd like yet. The hands don't really grab the boards, and there's some gun clipping we still have to clean up. Getting there. Ashgrove is the zombie game we're building in Arcwright with Claude Opus 5.5.

The jack-o'-lantern head glowing from the inside, with matching pumpkin buckets, against that purple haunted street. Lovely costume set 🎃

Using landmarks like the rock full of holes and the letters scratched into the cliff instead of a minimap makes you actually look at the world. Outer Wilds energy.

Stacking Templo Mayor, Long Bien Bridge and Hagia Sophia block by block is a lovely idea. Tests and docs cutting the prompts by two thirds is the real lesson here.

Seeing the radial pulse mask on its own, then the green pool rippling off it, makes the trick click. A torus for the stream is such a cheap, clever cheat.

Same praying pose, but after the fight the tears run red. A quiet change like that is way creepier than a big monster form.

Real filmed people shambling through that foggy square, plus the Doom-style face portrait and the PIVO can in hand. It feels like a lost 90s FMV shooter in the best way.

Fox Three 🚀 A missile leaves the wing at dusk and runs out low over the ocean. 12 seconds, shot on Arcwright's timeline and rendered straight out of the engine. One of the short films we've made in the editor (engine built with Claude Opus 5.5). Watch the rest: arcwrightengine.net/games/?u…

Shoot it down and it doesn't stay down 🧟 A few hits to the upper body and it goes over, writhes, gets its hands and knees under it and stands back up. Red lines are the bullet paths. Our own take on GTA IV-style physical reactions, built from scratch in Arcwright with Claude Opus 5.5. Early, in a plain test lab. arcwrightengine.net/devlog/a…

The enemy hull going from dull red to glowing molten orange as the armor gives way reads instantly, even before you check the engines/center/front bars. Lovely melt.

Max finished faster than High and still shipped three maps (Coral Coast, Red Mesa, Aurora Pass). Aurora Pass with the snowy pines is the best-looking track of the lot.

Tested it end to end after your question: exported the Halloween level and it plays from a plain static server. Pictures here 👇 teapawt.net/arcwrightengine/status…
Make it in the browser, host it anywhere 🎃 File → Export web build gives you a zip: index.html, the engine (WebAssembly) and your assets. Unzip it on any static host and it plays, with keyboard, gamepad and full screen. Here's our Halloween level, exported and running on a plain web server. Free: arcwrightengine.net/editor/?… (engine built with Claude Opus 5.5)

Good call. Jump and crouch are the cruel ones for feet, so they're going on our check sheet for the next character.

Yes. File → Export web build downloads a zip with index.html, the engine (WebAssembly) and your assets, ready for any static host. We haven't tried an itch upload ourselves yet, so if you do, tell us how it goes 🎃
