Thank you @JTraumAcuteSurg for giving us the honor of the best paper this month ! It’s a humbling to share it with @argandykov and my colleagues at @MGHSurgery . We believe this approach will give a far better alternative to per cutaneous chole tubes!
In patients with acute cholecystitis who are poor candidates for cholecystectomy, transpapillary cholecystoduodenal stenting, may represent a safe and viable long-term alternative to external gallbladder drainage.

This study evaluated the optimal red blood cell (RBC) to cryoprecipitate transfusion ratio in trauma resuscitation. 1 pooled unit of Cryo per 7-8 units of RBC could be the optimal dose of cryoprecipitate that provides a significant benefit

In a TQIP-based propensity-matched analysis, patients with TBI & multiple rib fractures undergoing rib fixation showed decreased mortality & longer hospital and ICU lengths of stay. These findings suggest a role for SSRF in TBI

"Every physician & nurse knows well what it is: deeply connecting with the patient beyond learned compassion techniques and “owning” their care. For many, this connectedness is one of the few things that make the hardship of taking care of ill patients worth it."
