it's not immediately obvious from the screenshot, but the 1.4x gain is *on the same machine*.
somewhat embarrassing for Apple.
It's interesting that on the CLI Claude wins with remote, but with the GUI Codex wins. Eitherway @t3dotcodes is way better than both 😎
I do wonder why people prefer the CLI these days 🤔
Claude /remote-control is becoming one reason to prefer Claude CLI versus Codex CLI sometimes, since it is too convenient. I'm not sure why @OpenAIDevs is lagging on that, many open issues and requests, and does not look too hard to add.

I am here once again to say “put up or shut up”
One million to open source this year, as we continue to give back to the ecosystem via the pledge.
More than half has gone directly to your favorite open source developers.

It's way too easy to get lost on X while waiting for something (or just procrastinating). So I asked Claude to build a small app that tracks what I'm doing, using screenshots and whatever's in focus. Every 15 minutes, Claude checks it and calls me out if I'm wasting time.
I had the same experience with my own project where I decided to go against the common wisdom of software engineering and just have the agents build the new version from scratch.
My accumulated experience from
v1 along with the advancement in models made v2 significantly better.
Two weeks ago, I got a Slack message in the middle of the night from one of our developers asking for our credit card details to get more Claude tokens.
That was unusual. He was already on the Max plan and had never needed extra credits before (at least not that I remember). I approved it of course, but I also asked him what happened.
He told me he'd spent some time thinking about everything we'd learned building Catch over the past few months: how users actually used the product, the bugs we'd encountered, and how we fix them.
He decided to rebuild the entire architecture from scratch.
Fast-forward to today, two weeks later.
After extensive testing and great results, we've migrated all Catch users to the new architecture and deleted the "legacy" codebase 🤯
This is a good idea. Gonna steal for my own agent 💯

the desktop app is live too and it has its own browser
on any desktop device you log into it acts as a node with extra permissions via mcp
you can use this fully with local agents and not a single thing will go to the cloud
Introducing ChatGPT for Dishwashing
GPT-6 achieves state-of-the-art results on dishwashing benchmarks for long-running jobs and difficult stains.
The Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize Problem is a $1 million challenge about whether the equations describing fluid motion can break down. In this video, I accidentally found a counter-example while trying to optimize my dishwasher. But in reality, OpenAI used 10,000 AI agents to find a proof in 88 hours: openai.com/index/navier-stok…

I was actually contemplating today to switch to a different provider (@Fastmail ?) who respects their users and provides MCP.

🤯 I had to try this too. My prompt was a bit longer: “On the redash.io website we have a short video showcasing redash. Make a dynamic 15 second motion graphics video that can replace it.”
After the first result I followed up with: “This is nice. Can you make the logo look like the real one and retain the animation you made with the bars?”
I think my next prompt will be: “update the Redash app design to match the video” 😅
I made a new release of Redash yesterday with 13 CVEs fixed. In the lifetime of the project until now (~10 years) we had only 7…
It’s much easier to find vulnerabilities, but also to fix them and hopefully for users to upgrade to latest.
This past Thursday, the scheduled Postgres minor releases came out.
As expected, the CVE count continues to explode: 28 this time, more than 2× the previous scheduled release, which had 11.
And 17 of those 28 CVEs have score > 8.0...
I can only imagine how much work it takes behind the scene, to handle that amount security issues to be fixed.
===
Another interesting detail: 18.5 was never released, and never will be. Minor version jumped straight from 18.4 to 18.6 because a regression was discovered after 18.5 had already been wrapped.
I couldn't remember the last time a PostgreSQL minor version was skipped. Turns out it was long, long time ago -- June 2008. Back then, an entire release train was skipped at once: 7.4.20, 8.0.16, 8.1.12, 8.2.8, and 8.3.2.
So 18.5 is the first skipped PostgreSQL minor version in roughly 18 years.
===
And 18.6 is absolutely record-breaking in terms of the number of CVEs fixed in a single release: 28.
The question now is: what's coming next? How big will the next wave of this CVE tsunami be?
