$750M!!! this win feels personal,
it all started with a cold DM to @dakshgup
they were our first YC client,
we kicked off on a small engagement that extended to their product and eventually the OG brand.
I still remember doing the wireframes for their product!
Daksh is actually the smartest person I know and he has been our biggest advocate (>10 direct referrals)
We are still working with the amazing Greptile team behind the scenes.
Huge congratulations, this really feels personal!
Greptile has raised a $50M Series B led by Menlo Ventures. The round values the company at $750M.
Greptile reviews and tests more than 1% of all PRs opened on GitHub every day. Thousands of engineering teams including Nvidia, Coinbase, Decagon, and Vanta use Greptile as their independent and central validation layer.
Fewer than 50 people, we are a small, talent-dense team of engineers and researchers in a quiet corner of San Francisco. If you’re interested in joining us, we’d love to hear from you.

Had the pleasure to work with Greptile since their early yc days 💚

I've always hated that the typical experience of working with a design agency is that, throughout the entire process, they are like, "It's going to look good," when we actually deploy it and put it on the actual website, but it never does (just because they lack taste and have such low standards).
Daksh and Pixelup, though, are one of the only guys I've worked with that have incredible taste and have an incredibly high bar for what they push out.

only founders who've never lost a deal call it "just design."
"they just have a nicer website."
"their brand looks expensive, that's all."
"buyers picked them because they looked bigger."
just design?
behind every brand that "looks expensive" is months of hard decisions.
reading every competitor's homepage until the gap becomes obvious
rewriting the story before touching a single pixel.
building a system so the brand still holds up 8 months later.
that's called clarity.
category leaders aren't the best product but have the clearest story.
and you earn that clarity by making the hard calls early
saying no to the claims that sound good
letting evidence settle the internal arguments.

this made our design reviews so much easier...
learnt this with a Series B team: 3 co-founders, multiple growth leads, no brand manager.
Every review, we'd show static frames. and everyone in the room pictured a different brand
we changed our process to include mocks, animations and prototypes AS EARLY as possible
because:
- helps non-design stakeholders visualise design
- agents spin prototype in minutes
- keeps the brand direction clear
- ensures early alignment
its faster than ever to produce a mock that's 70% there

I asked Claude one question 5 times.
@pixeluplabs came up in 3.
Same prompt. Same day. Nothing changed.
That's why tracking AI visibility like a Google ranking doesn't work.
Most people ask ChatGPT "best [category] for [buyer]" once.
See if they're named. Check again next week. ✓ or ✗.
Fair enough. It's how search tracking has always worked.
But a ranking is one position. An AI answer is a different list every time you ask.
So a week-on-week "drop" can be pure luck.
The better model is a poll. Nobody calls an election by asking one voter.
Here's how I built it into our dashboard:
→ Every Monday, each prompt is asked 5 times on each AI
→ The score is the share of answers that name us, with a ± margin
→ Each AI is scored separately, never blended
→ A change only counts if it's bigger than the noise
→ Citations are tracked alongside mentions
The first run, for "best brand agencies for B2B tech startups":
→ Claude named us in 3 of 5 answers
→ Gemini, 5 of 5
→ ChatGPT, 1 of 5
→ Perplexity cited our site in 0 of 5 and named us in 0
Gemini named us every time. Perplexity never did. Blend them into one score and you'd miss both.
One answer a week is a coin flip dressed up as a trend line.
