Anyone else in hospital at the moment, either as a patient or a carer? After an 11-hour wait for a bed, my wife is finally settled. Every time I'm in this situation, I keep oscillating between immense gratitude and sadness and frustration at how little support regular folks can get when at their most vulnerable. I dont blame the staff, so many are angels in scrubs. The system however, feels like we are failing people. My first instinct is to code our way out of this. My second is to just sit quietly beside my wife whilst the nurses work.
