❤️ SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE — WE’RE GETTING SO CLOSE! ❤️ In just 12 days, Braelyn will receive her next DCVax-L treatment in London! Since my last fundraising update, more generous people have stepped forward to help us continue her treatment. We are overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity! I’ve carefully reconciled our treatment fund, GoFundMe, GiveSendGo, and private donations to share where we stand. 🎯 Estimated November 6 treatment cost: $30,844 ❤️ TOTAL FUNDS ACCOUNTED FOR: $26,308.02 🎯 ESTIMATED AMOUNT STILL NEEDED: $4,535.98 That’s more than 85% of November’s treatment covered! These figures include donations already deposited, contributions still processing through our fundraising platforms, and private gifts received but not yet deposited. Because treatment is billed in British pounds, the final dollar amount may vary slightly depending on exchange rates and fees. When I look at Braelyn today—cancer-free, attending college, and looking forward to her future—I am reminded why we continue fighting so hard for access to DCVax-L. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared her story, prayed for her, or encouraged our family. Your generosity has helped make this journey possible. We’re getting so close to covering her November treatment! If you’re able to help us close the remaining gap, we would be incredibly grateful. Every donation, regardless of size, and every share makes a difference. Thank you for helping give Braelyn hope and a future. ❤️🙏 #DCVaxForBraelyn #DCVax #BrainCancer

"A sea change moment" 💛 Professor Richard Gilbertson, Chair of the Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission, reflects on last week's Government announcement which aims to transform treatments for brain tumour patients. The Prime Minister has set out four steps which aim to speed up the route from research to treatment, including an immediate three-month review, a national action plan for getting treatments to patients faster, and the appointment of a brain cancer clinical lead. Prof Gilbertson says it is a "sea change moment for those who are battling a brain tumour and all of us across the community who are supporting them". We collectively remain committed to building on the momentum that has grown over the last year and to working with Government ensure these welcome initiatives deliver meaningful change for patients and their families. #TogetherWeWillFindACure #BrainTumourResearch @BrainTumourOrg @TJBCMission @brainstrust @BrainTumourSupp @FoundationTessa @CR_UK @GreatOrmondSt

❤️ IT’S OFFICIAL! WE’RE MEETING PRESIDENT TRUMP TOMORROW! 🇺🇸 Braelyn and I have been invited to attend tomorrow’s rally for Darline Graham in Clemson! We’ll be seated in the VIP section AND have the opportunity to meet President Trump in the “click line”! Ben is cutting his work trip short, and we’re hoping he’ll make it home in time to join us! We’ll have only seconds with the President, but I intend to make every one of them count. I’ll also be bringing information for him and his staff about Braelyn, DCVax-L, and the barriers American patients face trying to access promising treatments developed right here in the United States. This is an extraordinary opportunity, but we’re hoping it can become something even bigger. PLEASE HELP US GET THE ATTENTION OF THE WHITE HOUSE PRESS TEAM! 🙏 We would love the opportunity for a longer conversation with President Trump or his administration about how we can make these treatments accessible to American patients. Please SHARE, REPOST, and TAG anyone who might help get Braelyn’s story in front of the right people! Three years ago, Braelyn was given just months to live. Today she’s 19, attending college, and her latest MRI shows NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE RECURRENCE! Her story deserves to be heard. And so do the stories of countless other patients fighting for access to promising treatments. @realDonaldTrump @DrOzCMS @WhiteHouse #DCVaxForBraelyn #DCVax #PresidentTrump

Yesterday, thanks to Northwest Biotherapeutics, I had the privilege of visiting Advent BioServices in Cambridge, where personalised dendritic cell vaccines, including DCVax-L, are manufactured. This is a highly promising treatment for GBM, with some very impressive case studies.

Outstanding talk today at EANO by Andrew Satterlee, who has used his experience as a long-term brain cancer survivor to help transform brain tumour drug development through the Screening Live Cancer Explants (SLiCE) platform. Great to discuss his work with him afterwards.

Loved catching up with Dr Nasha Winters. We discussed what happens when you intentionally suppress ketogenesis, the current modern lifestyle intervention. This results in insulin-compensated euglycaemia (ICE), due to surpassing one’s own personalised hyperinsulinemia threshold (PIT). Understanding how to detect if someone is in the ICE-PIT allows for earlier intervention where things are easier to turn around. The PIT protocol to detect ICE: measure your evening pre-dinner at least three hrs fasted, glucose and ketones, for at least 7 days but optimally at least 21 days. If ketones are consistently <0.5 mM then you are in a metabolic endocrine phenotype of ICE and surpassed your PIT. If your GKI is above 4 consistently, you are in the ICE-PIT metabolic-endocrine phenotype range. If sustained over time, this has been shown to be associated with mitochondrial dysfunction which tracks with the development of chronic diseases and poorer ageing. Increasing insulin demand and exposure in the body has a significant negative effect on blood biomarkers associated with chronic disease and mitochondrial dysregulation. youtu.be/Ju9GefNeGuU
