This cute shop represents what @get_optimum is building a faster and more efficient way to move data across Ethereum. So what is Optimum? Optimum is a data acceleration network that helps Ethereum nodes receive blocks faster. It works alongside existing Ethereum clients without changing the consensus protocol or exposing validator keys. Its technology uses Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC), co-invented by MIT professor @MurielMedard. Optimum’s first product is mump2p. Normally, Ethereum nodes share block data through a gossip network, often sending redundant information. mump2p uses coded data pieces that nodes can combine to reconstruct a block. The reported results include: • 2–4× faster block delivery on mainnet • Around 7–8× lower arrival-time variation • Up to 95% less bandwidth in tests Why does faster data matter? On Ethereum, receiving a block earlier can give validators more time to process it and submit attestations. For validators using MEV infrastructure, earlier information can also help improve bid-selection timing. Optimum tracks its impact through Total Value Boosted (TVB), with more than $3.4B reported across participating operators. Optimum offers two ways to use its technology: Signal → Receive block data sooner. Accelerate → Get recommendations for MEV bid cutoffs to help improve timing. The gateway is open source and runs alongside your existing beacon node. Validators can explore the integration without replacing their current setup.
