At one time it was the Shrager6. Over time the two older girls left the nest. Both married now and one has given us 3 amazing grandkids. For the past 7 years it's been the Final Four. Over the next 10 days the 2 little ones (lol ones 6'5") are headed to college. Emotional times!

Interesting read. Lots to digest here
One coaching idea from Bill Belichick completely changed how I think about defensive matchups.
Sometimes he wouldn't put his best corner on the other team's best receiver.
Why?
Because if he was already double-teaming that receiver, sending extra protection, and he didn't want to waste his best defender there too.
That influenced how I think about matchups in basketball.
Maybe your best defender shouldn't always guard their best player.
And maybe your worst defender shouldn't be hidden at all.

This young man has some intrinsic skills. Some coach will find themselves blessed to have him.
College Coaches still looking for 2026 bigs? 6'7" @JaydanAlmonor is uncommitted. Team player with high IQ. Very good defender, strong rebounder, makes the right ready and can knock 3s down from the corner. He will be with 17U Marathon Elite @madehoops DMV Live.

@MadDogUnleashed (1)I listen to you almost daily on XM..respect your passion, but tonight was disappointing. Your discussion on Bruce and his shows ...Saying you “prefer apolitical shows” because you don’t have the forum to speak your views doesn’t hold up—you absolutely have
(2) just not the willingness to risk alienating listeners.
There are moments in history where staying neutral isn’t rea neutral. Vietnam, Watergate, Civil Rights—those weren’t times to sit back and avoid controversyWhen people with a voice choose silence, it says something.

HS Coaches: Be sure you understand college recruitment especially at the D3 level. Players are offered roster spots by the HC before enrolling. I am hearing HS coaches encouraging “walking on”…that barely exists today. If they are told by the HC they are college ready and have a roster spot - they are being recruited! ADs: Inservice about college recruitment is a must.
Tonight end of an incredible high school @IsaacShrager 4 years played in 104 w/1268 points. Ended career with 55 straight games with at least one - 3 pointer ...Had at least one 3 pointer in 100/104 games. had 26 games with 4 or more 3s made @MarathonElite @madehoops @NJScom

Pretty accurate. I have coached both at pretty high high school levels in TX and NJ and also had two kids play one being a girl and one being a boy
Coaching girls vs. boys? 3 general truths to remember:
Girls thrive on team unity first; boys connect through competition.
Girls accept coaching readily, but need the "why." Boys want to show their IQ.
Girls underconfident, boys overconfident
