Our CMS football players got to run out with the HS players, and seeing how excited they were to run out of the tunnel was the best! Loved it! @CanyonMiddle @CMS_Athletics1 @c_quidachay @jess_carollo16 @BraxtonHead @lyonseducator #RiseAndRoar – at New Braunfels, TX

Students loved being outside and getting the opportunity to filter their own water. This tied to our novel study with "A Long Walk to Water". The filters were definitely creative! #Humanities @organicteacher @ashtorres01 @BelindaServant3 @ComalWrites @AshleyGuenthner @c_quidachay
Sixth graders at CMS will begin a novel study over, “A Long Walk to Water.” Today students were challenged to plan and execute a way to clean water. Check out the collaboration!

I joined @CanyonMiddle book club 2nite to meet one of my favorite authors @allisonkpittman Her book #pudgeandprejudice transported me back to the 80s. I laughed and reminisced. A great read for both young and young at heart #fictionaddiction @ashtorres01

Parents, if online or remote learning is overwhelming or confusing here is one thing you can do to serve your child's learning:
Read.
Read with them. Read to them. Read recipes. Read newspapers. Read chapter books. Read comics.
Reading is the foundation for all learning.

Yesterday a 3rd-grade boy ran into the library after school, scribbled something on a piece of paper, hid it in a book, and on his way out called out "look in the superhero section, you're going to like it!" Well, I did. 🙂
