People keep asking if booking through an advisor actually saves money.
So I’ve been showing it, one hotel at a time. Bangkok, Dubai, Istanbul, Singapore, Tokyo, Langkawi.
Every one’s linked below. New ones get added to this thread as they go up.
JW Marriott Tokyo
Public rate vs my rate, #6: JW Marriott Tokyo.
3 nights in Nov. Public rate is ¥519,850. Through me it’s ¥416,120 — about ¥1 lakh saved.
Plus:
- breakfast for two
- a $100 credit
- an upgrade if one’s available
Why this one: it’s a brand new JW right at Takanawa Gateway, a few minutes from Shinagawa. If your Japan trip has even one Kyoto or Osaka day, being next to the bullet train saves you so much time.
The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi
Public rate vs my rate, #7
The Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi. 4 nights, 16–20 Nov.
Public rate: MYR 11,240
My rate: MYR 8,440
That’s MYR 2,800 back in your pocket. Plus breakfast daily, a $100 hotel credit, upgrade if available, early check-in/late checkout, and a welcome amenity.
Still a direct booking, so you keep your Marriott points and elite nights. Free cancellation too.
November is when Langkawi’s good weather kicks in. Rainforest on one side, Andaman Sea on the other. Hard to beat.

Private pool. Lakeside deck. Fire pit in the middle of the jungle.
Aman-i-Khás, Ranthambore.
Easily one of the most unreal stays in India and most Indians have never heard of it.

Accor is gone from TopCashback.
Not losing sleep over the 1%, that was basically nothing. The 6% days on select brands though? Those were a steal. Will miss them.
Did a hotel a favour this week. They returned it by bumping my clients to the top of the upgrade list 😉
Can’t name them yet. Soon!

Tatler just announced Asia-Pacific’s Best 100 Hotels for 2026, and a few things jumped out:
- China leads with 13.
- Japan 12.
- Thailand 11 — and Bangkok alone has 7 of them.
India got 6: Aman-i-Khas, Amanbagh, Sujan Jawai, Taj Falaknuma, Taj Lake Palace, and Oberoi Udaivilas. Rajasthan basically carried the whole country. Nothing from Kerala, Goa, or the Himalayas.
So a single city has more spots on the list than all of India.
Funniest part: they listed Amanpulo twice — once under the Philippines and once under Thailand. It’s in the Philippines. A year of judging and a gala in Shanghai for 600 people, and nobody caught it 😭
Some good news if you’re planning a trip: Four Seasons Bangkok, Hong Kong, Langkawi, Bali at Sayan, and Hangzhou all made it. So did Park Hyatt Bangkok, Kyoto, and Kuala Lumpur.
I can get you free breakfast, upgrades, and hotel credits at every one of these. Don’t book direct.
Which Indian hotel do you think got snubbed?
A couple in the Duplex Suite on this Ponant Antarctica trip pays about $346k, which is close to ₹3 crore for one month on a ship.
It’s sold out, and so is every suite above 450 sq ft. Sailing is Jan 2028.
The trip is 29 nights from Ushuaia to Hobart, along the Antarctic Peninsula, Marie Byrd Land, Charcot Island and the Ross Sea. Hardly any ships go to these places. Le Commandant Charcot is an actual icebreaker, which is why it can get this far south.
The Duplex works out to about $6k per person per night. The Owner’s Suite is $205k per person, and that’s gone too. Even the cheapest cabin at $75k per person already has a “last staterooms” tag on it.
The top end of travel isn’t slowing down at all.
