Build this in 10 min for my product @thegympilot and cost like 20rs.
What a great time to live in.
With almost no prompt. Opus 5.5 figured it out all by itself from code. ( Ofcourse Knowldgebase was there but shit🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 )
Every project I ship, I end up redeclaring my own functions as MCP tools.
Slate has a createTask. The expense dashboard has a createExpense. Both typed, both validated, both already behind an endpoint that works. mcp-handler and xmcp remove the protocol plumbing - but I still hand-write a tool schema duplicating fields that already exist six inches away in the codebase.
Someone built a component for Convex that does this properly: register a function, an authorize callback decides who sees it and who can call it.
Why isn't this a backend framework default? Is the auth model the real blocker, or has nobody just done it yet?
I'm building better experiences with @cloudinary image and video APIs!
Whether building websites or native apps, see how you can deliver more value below.
