بنتي عمرها 13 سنة، ومن يوم بدأت دورتها الشهرية وأنا أشتري لها الفوط الصحية. لكن لاحظت إن العلب تخلص بسرعة، وبدأت أشوف إنها تستخدم كمية مبالغ فيها. في البداية نبهتها أكثر من مرة، وقلت لها: "مو معقول كل شهر تخلصين هالكمية! لازم تتعلمين تحافظين على الأغراض، مو كل شيء متوفر يعني تستخدمينه بدون حساب." ولما ما تغير شيء، قررت أحط الفوط في خزانتي بدل ما تكون متاحة لها، وصرت أعطيها عددًا محددًا كل شهر. وإذا خلصت الكمية قبل موعدها، لازم تجيني وتطلب مني زيادة، وأحيانًا كنت أرفض بحجة إنها لازم تتعلم الاقتصاد. في يوم دخلت عليّ وهي مترددة، وقالت:
