Impossible Mission for Atari 7800 was literally impossible to beat!
The American release hid a puzzle piece inside an unsearchable computer terminal
You could explore the entire facility, dodge every robot, search every piece of furniture, and STILL be unable to finish the game

In 1993 TTi was a small group of guys operating on a shoestring budget w no money from NEC to promote the Turbo Duo
So they got @tonyhawk to edit an indie VHS in the style of a Powell/Peralta skateboarding video, to get word out about Turbo Duo and the new game Lords of Thunder

TurboGrafx-16 and DUO were tragically underrated in the ‘90s.
While PC Engine soared in Japan, tg16 and Duo were almost completely ignored in the US
Except by the coolest gamers like us, who enjoyed games like Ys Book I&II, Splatterhouse, & Lords of Thunder

This book is an example of ignoring Atari
Covers
NES
SMS
TG16
SNES

NEOGEO
Book about Sprites 1983-90, Atari had 7800 MARIA operable in 1983
NES, SMS, TG16/PCE push ~64 sprites on screen at once. Atari 7800 pushed ~200-300 w no hard limit
Why ignore that?

Interviewed “Josh” today for my zine. An autistic hacker, he goes by the name “g0z3r”.
Insanity. Absolute chaos.
Instead of gold boxes Atari should be making golden cartridges of 7800 Swordquest Timeworld.
We’ve got #SDCC exclusive PAC-MAN double feature cartridges for sale!
Each box has a different colored cartridge in it. Some colors are more rare than others. Which one will you get? 👀
Booth 229!
Would be nice to see screenshots rather than just cover art. A tasteful, minimalist photo of the system placed at the center would be nice.
