Recently I've been working on adding automatic image placeholders to Angular, and with version 17.2, it's finally available! Really excited to see what people think. blog.angular.io/angular-v17-…

Another delightful feature available in Angular v17 is: phases for afterRender and afterNextRender!
Now Angular can optimally schedule callbacks for an application and all of its libraries, minimizing layout thrashing!

Really excited about one of the features I worked on for this release--automated preconnects! Now, when you use NgOptimizedImage, Angular looks for image domains in your code and automatically adds preconnect links, which can improve your LCP score by a lot.

Are you running Angular v13? Still want to take advantage of the NgOptimizedImage directive?
Chrome Aurora has partnered with Angular to backport the image directive! This gives you access to:
- srcset generation
- fill mode
- loader config options

Really proud of the work by both my team and the Google Chrome team that's working on Next.js 🤩
next-css was one of the most used dependencies of Next.js projects, either to import a single CSS file or full design systems.
It's now a built-in feature with better constraints.
Next.js 9.2:
⬩ Built-In CSS Imports for Global Styles
⬩ Built-In CSS Modules for Component-Level Styles
⬩ Catch-All Dynamic Routes
⬩ Up to 70% Reduced Largest JavaScript Bundle
⬩ Up to 87% Less JavaScript Loaded after Multiple Navigations

3) Moved back to San Francisco
4) Got a job at Google
Aaaand... now we're all caught up. I'm going to try to post a little more so we don't have to do this again 😅

Lots of talk today about the new iPad's thermal issues. Frankly, we haven't noticed anything of the sort.
Just got the Tiamat 7.1. Really wonder how much @CultOfRazer spends on packaging R&D.
