My biggest takeaways and observations from Solana Breakpoint Abu Dhabi:
1) Builders were given a larger-than-life stage to talk about what they’re building, why they’re building it, and how big their ambition really is.
It genuinely felt like builders got the respect they deserve for their hustle.
2) The main stage, Absolute Cinem, was packed with Solana ecosystem wins.
The lineup felt very intentionally curated, from institutions and policymakers to builder showcases and VCs pitching their theses.
3) Debates were encouraged.
Panels covered diverse viewpoints, and those discussions were genuinely refreshing.
4) @superteam is clearly the talent magnet of Solana.
They solve the first 1,000-user problem for new projects building on Solana remarkably well.
5) The diversity of projects building on Solana is impressive.
The scale and numbers some of them are hitting are even more impressive.
6) Talks, workshops, and builder rooms were full throughout the day.
Huge respect for actively avoiding fluff and BS panels.
7) Attention to smaller details really stood out.
The event team was clearly well-briefed and prepared.
Meals, coffee, snacks, and even ice cream were available all day.
Brand integrations around this were thoughtfully and cleverly done.
The vibes were tailored immaculately.
8) I never once felt like an outsider. You didn’t need to pander or belong to an inner circle. Everyone was approachable.
This is probably the most significant learning for me, and something many ecosystems can emulate.
Overall, as a Base maxi, I have to say Breakpoint was pretty great. Loved every bit of it!
