Gen Xers, can we talk about something nobody really prepares you for when you reach this stage of life?
The kids are growing up, becoming independent, and building lives of their own. Your marriage has settled into a comfortable routine. The house is quieter. Everyone seems to have their own schedules, priorities, and things going on.
And somewhere in the middle of all that, you suddenly find yourself wondering…
Is this it? Is this what life looks like from here on out?
It's not that you're unhappy. You're grateful for your family, your home, and everything you've built. But something feels different.
The excitement seems to have faded. The days start blending together. Every week feels like a repeat of the last one. You find yourself missing something, but you can't quite put your finger on what it is.
Maybe you miss the person you were before life became all about responsibilities, raising children, keeping everyone together, and making sure everything was taken care of.
Maybe you've spent so many years being everything to everyone else that you've forgotten what makes YOU happy.
And now that life is finally slowing down a little, you're left wondering who you are outside of all those roles.
Is this what midlife feels like? Is this a Gen X experience?
I can't believe I'm the only one feeling this way.
Tell me honestly, has anyone else reached this stage of life and felt a little lost, even when everything looks perfectly fine from the outside? 🤍

Reading before bed sounds peaceful until the book gets INTERESTING, you tell yourself ONE MORE CHAPTER, and suddenly it's 2 a.m. and your alarm is only FIVE HOURS away.

Whoever planned the collapse of society while Gen X goes through perimenopause is an idiot.
We are tired, furious, under-slept, and we know where everything is.
Here's why Gen X is a force right now:
