I built the Japa guide I wish someone had handed me when I started.
The Japa Bible: every real route out: UK, US, Australia, Germany, Canada, NZ, Gulf. The costs, timelines, and traps the "japa coaches" skip.

Compassion without competence is sentiment; competence without compassion is cruelty.
Excellence in medicine is warmth and skill together, held in the same pair of hands. Neither is optional.

BREAKING: FDA approves first functional cure for chronic Hepatitis B.
The cure is currently approved for patients without cirrhosis.
Nigeria treats mental health like a character flaw and physical health like an inconvenience.
Then wonders why its people are quietly breaking.
A nation that mocks therapy and skips check-ups is a nation in denial.

It is in moments like this, that:
“Nigerian Doctors are incompetent”
“Nigerian Nurses are wicked”
“Only Olodos stayed in Nigeria”
“The good Doctors don japa”
gets replaced by:
“Nigerian Doctors are heroes”.
If you like, go and lose guard & be a Martyr.

Your worst health enemy is usually not a disease.
Most of what makes conditions deadly in Nigeria isn't the condition itself. It's how late we meet it.
The gap between symptom and hospital is where lives are lost.
Close that gap and you change your odds entirely.
A functional health system fails safely. Nigeria's fails silently.
Without accountability, the same preventable deaths repeat forever. Silence is how a system avoids improving.
We've perfected the silence and called it moving on.
You can't fix Nigerian healthcare with more medical schools.
You fix it with electricity, water, roads, and salaries that clear.
Health is downstream of everything we've refused to build. The hospital is the last stop, not the first fix.
'Just be strong, don't take the medicine.'
We prescribe mindset for structural, chemical problems, then blame the patient when strength fails. Some things require medicine, full stop.
Telling a sick person to simply be stronger is offering a feeling where they need a treatment.
The doctor who says 'I don't know yet, but here's how we'll find out' is the one to trust.
Medicine is full of unknowns; the dangerous doctor pretends otherwise.
The good one admits the gap and shows you the bridge across it.
If your pastor's hospital bill is covered by the church but your congregation's isn't, ask questions.

Cutting sugary drinks is prevention you can taste.
Swapping 'minerals' for water is one of the highest-impact changes a Nigerian can make.
Prevention sometimes fits in the choice of what fills your glass.
Look at the people you call your leaders.
"If you attempt suicide, make sure you die. Anyone who attempts and fails will go to jail."
And they are even laughing 🤦🏾♂️
A person in crisis survives, and the state's answer is a cell.
Is mental health a joke to you?
