The scariest part of an AI hallucination is that the wrong answer comes out in the same confident tone as the right one. If it hesitated or said "I'm not sure" a bit more often, people would trust it in a much healthier way. Right now it sounds like that one friend who has never once said "I don't know" at dinner. You end up fact checking everything anyway, which kind of defeats the point of asking.
