ALT Bar plots are depicted for the A) ensemble and B) main cast showing how many actors are POC or white. It should be noted that in B) main cast — POC is listed as 5 but this is to account for Al-Hashimi joining the cast. However she does replace Collins who was removed after S1 so this may be misleading.

ALT MWU comparison of words spoken per episode between seasons for the character Mel. The p-value was not significant (p-value = 0.33) and there was an overall trend downwards for this character. Several episodes for Al-Hashimi were at or less than Collin’s lowest words spoken levels. The range is larger for Al-Hashimi than Collin’s, which may indicate a big fluctuation in her characters’s time on screen in comparison to Collin’s despite being in 3 more episodes.

ALT a Mann-Whitney U comparison detailing differences A) between lines said across race with Robby, B) between words said across race with Robby, C) between lines across race without Robby, and D) between words said across race without Robby. with Robby there was significant difference across all comparisons and seasons. without Robby, they were not significant but POC’s did trend lower than white actors despite being almost even in distribution. p-value indicates this trend and not an even split (we would expect closer to 1 if it was truly even in mean comparison difference)
