in a bear market when you're waiting to buy, every bounce is excruciating. you get within 5% of your bid and the internal negotiation starts. "close enough, right? what's another 5% when the upside could be 4x?" rooting for prices to go down is its own special kind of stress. it's completely different from watching a position go against you. nobody posts about this one though.
