Workotron 1.0.70 is out, rounding up everything since our last notes.
The big news: your tasks come to you. Their questions and progress show up right in the chat, on your phone, in WhatsApp and on your Apple Watch.
π Answer your tasks wherever you are
β³ See every task working, live
ποΈ Long website tasks finish in a fraction of the time
π¬ A faster chief of ops with a better memory
Plus improvements across the web, iPhone, Android and Apple Watch.
π Workotron 1.0.70 Full Release Notes
π A task's question pops into the chat as a card with the best answer marked, so you decide in one tap.
β The same questions reach your Apple Watch, WhatsApp or Telegram, so you can answer on the go.
β³ A live line under the chat shows what each task is doing, and updates gather in one tidy bubble.
π Your first conversation is three quick questions, then Workotron starts on the work that takes up your week.
ποΈ Dozens of changes in a booking calendar now finish in under an hour.
π½ Forms full of dropdowns and pop-ups fill in much faster.
π¬ Replies appear as they are written, and a quick hello gets a quick answer.
π§ Your chief of ops remembers your whole conversation and stays quick all day.
𧩠Long tasks hold on to every detail and run to the end.
π¬ Scheduled reports arrive on WhatsApp or by mail on their own, and night reminders fire on time.
π When a service emails you a sign-in code, Workotron finds it and types it in.
π Your workflows read your documents with no setup, and files up to 128 MB open and upload, even on a slow connection.
π± A website Workotron hands you fits your phone, with Back, Reload, pull to refresh and a Paste key.
π Copy a page's address or bring it into the chat in one tap.
βοΈ Copy, rate or discuss any message from its menu, or press and hold on your phone to copy a few words.
πͺ Close a tab a task opened and your chief of ops tells you what it showed and offers to pick up from there.
β
When a new workflow's first try already did the work, you get the result right away.
π‘ Ask how a task is going and you hear exactly what it reported.
π Your iCloud workflows go straight to work when you are signed in.
π Your nightly workflow improvements finish sooner.
π The phone app opens with a short welcome that says plainly where your data goes.
π§Ύ Reloading a page after paying never pays twice.
ποΈ Every account gets 3 invites a month to share Workotron.
ποΈ Say not to keep something and nothing is saved.
π‘οΈ Big downloads are checked for hidden malicious instructions, and the browser and servers carry this month's security fixes.
In private beta. Message me if you'd like to try it out.

Every Claude Code compaction cost me a minute and a half, several times a day. So I built fast-compact. It does the same job in half the time, and I've used it for months. How it works, the numbers, and the gist π
I spend 10 to 16 hours a day with Claude Code and Codex. By noon the walls of text wore me out, so I built action cards. Here's how to build your own π
Looks like this post generated lots of interest and some good questions so here's a gist you can use to get started: gist.github.com/avive/8e8b7aβ¦
This week, we've onboarded our first 10 small business owners to Workotron, and now we're extending the private beta to friends and colleagues.
If you're a solopreneur or run a small business, Workotron is free for as long as the beta runs, in return for your feedback.
Running a small business comes with a pile of digital busywork: the inbox, unpaid invoices, supplier orders, the calendar, and a dozen web apps to keep up to date.
Workotron is an AI chief of ops that takes that work off your plate. Unlike other personal agents, it gives you your own 24/7 private AI computer in the cloud, and it puts your security and privacy first. It works the web apps you already use, and asks you whenever it needs your decision. You get your time back for growing your business, for the creative work, and for your customers.
βοΈ A morning briefing of who's waiting on you, before your first coffee
π§Ύ Follows up on unpaid invoices with a friendly note
π¬ Sorts your email and drafts replies that sound like you
π¬ Finds the WhatsApp chats waiting on you and drafts the answers
π A weekly report on your business, ready when you wake
π± All of it from your phone, wherever you are
π Frontier intelligence, free during the beta: heavy use at this level of performance and service costs at least $100 a month
Private and secure by design
π₯οΈ Your work lives on your own computer, at its own web address
𧱠Every task runs in its own contained space and can reach only what it was given
β£οΈ Everything it reads from the internet is checked for hidden instructions before it acts
π§ Your know-how stays yours: nobody sells the unique ways you run your business with AI
π« None of your data trains an AI your competitors use
You tell it what you need in plain words, and there is nothing to set up or configure.
What we ask: use it for a few days for some of your real work, and tell us what works and what gets in the way. We fix quickly what our beta users tell us, usually within days. We've shipped 59 updates since our 1.0 launch on October 5.

Linus's open source law as shared in 1999 by Erick S Ryamond's @esrtweet excellent classic book The Cathedral and the Bazaar states that given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow.
It turns out AI does the same but on hyperdrive as its eyeballs are cyber pilled, which is a good things in the long-run, as shallow means easier to give attention to, and ultimately fix.
So after the noise, hype and scares quiet down, we'll get a better and a more secure Internet, and companies that still run PHP on Internet servers in 2026 will finally update their ancient stacks to modern and more secure ones.

This week we are working closely with our first batch of Workotron users. We keep hearing that they want their Workotron to work faster.
The thing is, other agents are misleading because they sacrifice security for speed. We made security and privacy our top priority so all user input and data from the Internet is sanitised to protect users from prompt injections and it adds few seconds to each operation. We spent lots of effort on optimizing this using a layered solution that involve fast and robust System One models as well as llm classifiers, as naive approaches don't work great.
If your agents are fast but don't sanitise input you paste or text they read from the Internet on your behalf, then it is just a question of time before your business is going to be hacked.
Expect many horror stories of people getting hacked via their agents in the media and here on X in the next few months.
π Workotron 1.0.49 is out, rolling up the last two days of releases.
The big news: Workotron now automatically improves your workflows every night, can post files and photos in messages for you when asked.
What we shipped
π Your workflows self-improve every night automatically
π Send any file or photo on WhatsApp, Telegram, email or post it to your socials
π Drop a screenshot and Workotron reads it
π¬ Thumbs up or down and a quick utility menu on every chief of ops replies
Plus a round of improvements for phones, tablets, Apple Watch and the web.
Full Release Notes
π Each night Workotron looks at how your workflows ran and improves the ones that hit trouble, then tells you in the morning what it changed.
π Name any file or photo in your documents, and Workotron sends it on WhatsApp, Telegram or email, or posts it on X, Facebook, LinkedIn or Discord.
π₯ Ask for a photo or a document someone sent you on WhatsApp or Telegram, and Workotron saves it to your documents.
π Drop a screenshot or a photo into the chat and ask about it, and Workotron reads what is in it.
πΌοΈ Pictures and videos in your documents open right beside the chat.
π When Workotron updates, your workflows take the improvements on their own, with your changes kept.
βοΈ A change you ask for in one of your workflows stays, and the nightly improvements build on it.
β³ A long task keeps going for as long as it is making progress.
π News sites and other busy pages open in Workotron's browser just as they do in yours.
π‘οΈ Block web ads with one switch in Settings.
π Copy text from a page shown beside the chat straight to your clipboard.
π "Sign in with Google" works on the pages Workotron hands you.
ποΈ My Docs shows your newest documents first, with a menu to sort them your way.
π¬ Thumbs up or down on any reply, and a click on it to copy it, send feedback or chat about it.
π£οΈ Tell us what you'd like Workotron to do for you, right from the feedback sheet.
β
When something goes wrong, the message is short and plain and says what to do next.
π
Your morning briefing is ready sooner.
π± A smoother phone app: swipe right for the menu, and long chats open at their newest message.
π On iPad, the board fits on the screen when you hold it sideways.
β On Apple Watch, a tap on a question that is already settled shows what is still waiting.
π Security updates to the connections Workotron makes.
In private beta. Message me if you'd like to try it out.

This is our vision for how the computer of the future will work and Workotron 1.0 already implements it.
No terminals, no Linux commands, no Windows. Natural language and a kanban board are all you need.
Your AI-native private computer works for you in the cloud, day and night. Your mobile phone, your tablet, your watch and any browser are simply how you reach it, from wherever you are.
Here is one morning at a small New York bakery with Workotron, on a tablet, a phone and a watch π±
βοΈ On the iPad, ask for the day in plain words and your chief of ops briefs you right beside your Board, where every task moves from running to done.
β
Anything that needs you waits on its card: tap Go ahead or Do not, or answer in your own words.
π₯ On the iPhone, say "same again" and last week's flour is reordered, with the receipt in your documents.
β On Apple Watch, hear what changed since the morning and answer by voice.
Available in private beta. Message me if you'd like to try it out.

Workotron 1.0.12 is out. Here is what shipped since 1.0.1 on Tuesday.
New:
π·οΈ Rename a document by asking. Tell your chief of ops the new name, and its open tab follows.
π Clearer updates. Settings checks for a new version when you open it, Update shows its progress until it is done, and a tab left open across an update loads the new version on its own.
Better:
π Facts you can check. When Workotron reads websites for you, it writes down what each page says before it moves on, reports only what the pages showed, and names the page each fact came from. When a page does not show what you asked about, it says so instead of filling the gap. Your morning briefing and dashboards carry the page's address on every item. Running a dashboard again the same day makes a new page from fresh data and keeps the earlier one.
π§ Your corrections reach every workflow. Correct a fact and every workflow that remembered it learns the correction. Ask Workotron to forget something and it is cleared everywhere, with a count of what was removed, and your chief of ops offers to delete your own documents that mention it. Overnight, Workotron now reads every one of the day's tasks in full to learn from them.
β‘ Faster answers. Ask for your newest files, mail or messages and Workotron reads the top of the list, or back to the time you named, instead of scrolling through everything. Twenty-one workflows, from mail and calendar to Drive, WhatsApp, Telegram and X, now go straight to the work on a website instead of opening it and looking around first. Questions that only look something up are answered sooner.
π¬ A smoother app. Tabs you close stay closed after a reload. The conversation stays connected after hours idle, so your next message goes through. The notice for an unsent message stays readable in a long chat. Passing warnings are short pop-ups instead of lines in the chat, and pop-ups are solid, not see-through. Messages in Hebrew read right to left. CSV files show row by row. Settings shows when someone you invited has joined. The sign-up screen's passkey step reads plainer, and each workflow's emoji lines up with its title.
Privacy and security:
π‘οΈ The servers Workotron runs on now carry the latest security fixes for the parts that keep each person's Workotron separate from everyone else's.
π A to-do list you keep only in Workotron is set up with no internet access at all.
ποΈ Deleting your account now also removes your records at Stripe, our payment provider.
In private beta. Message me if you'd like to try it out.
