I've loved answering questions on the climate crisis, hope and how we grow our movement even further
Thanks for the amazing turnout, and sorry not everyone could get in!

We must defend UK democracy from Russian interference and the wider web of dirty money and misinformation which enables bad actors to undermine trust in politics.
The Elections Bill is crucial in addressing this - the govt must not delay it any further.
Replying to @StagecoachSW
@StagecoachSW So, 20:46 A bus from High Street Exeter to Alphington is cancelled. B bus also cancelled. How do you expect me to get home? You barely run and evening service as it is. With cancellations it's non existent. You are a disgrace.
Will you pay for a taxi?

As Gaie's MP I tried everything I could to challenge this decision to send her back to prison - including writing to the prisons minister Lord Timpson and the probation service.
Why on earth is this government releasing violent criminals early due to prison overcrowding, but then replacing them with a 77-year-old peaceful climate protester who is clearly no threat to the public?
And why is she facing this extra punishment of being locked up, for longer than she was meant to be, and over Christmas? Not because she's broken her bail conditions, oh no no, it's because the private company responsible for fitting electronic tags couldn't find one the right size for her, and the authorities weren't willing to consider alternatives like daily check-ins at the police station.
Do we think that, perhaps, this government might be getting its priorities wrong?

Our response to Labour’s National Planning Policy Framework.
Painting the local planning process as the ‘block’ on achieving housing targets is misguided and an insult to local democracy. 1/6

ALT An image of house roof timbers on a house construction and a quote from Green group leader on Exeter City Council, Diana Moore. She says: Labour-led Exeter City Council must bend the ear of government and tell them firmly that the city needs the right homes in the right place at the right price. Any planning policy that fails those tests is not fit for purpose.

👂Our survey asking local residents for ideas on the former bus station site in #Exeter found no appetite for Labour's temporary car park plan but brought forward many creative ideas.
🥳 This has prompted the Council to consult on possible alternatives to a car park.

The UN plastics treaty negotiations conclude on Sunday.
We need a legally binding treaty that is focused on the reduction of single-use plastic.

FFS why frame #climate action in terms of not “telling people how to live”? Rules were necessary to protect us from Covid & are necessary to protect us from much greater risk of climate crisis - with added bonus that they can improve quality of life too 🤷♀️ independent.co.uk/climate-ch…

“If they protest in a way that gets noticed, they go to jail” - @mrjamesob cuts through with clarity & truth.
Complicity in the politics of “don’t look up” is hastening ever greater #climate breakdown - we can’t say we didn’t know
"I understand why you're doing it but for heaven's sake...
...and then you see the scenes in Spain."
It's a relief to see @mrjamesob connecting the dots. So few journalists are. Direct action from ordinary people is needed more than ever to force those in power to act.

This is so deeply sobering. The charts in this article say it all. This year the world will breach the 1.5C ceiling.
Literally crashing and burning.
The consequences of inaction will be catastrophic.
This should be a wake up call to every politician. bbc.com/news/articles/c1dpnx…
