It was a pleasure to receive @bankofagricng retired Staff under the Contributory Pension Scheme for discussions on the payment by Pencom to non - Treasury Funded MDAs.
The people who dedicated years of service to building this institution deserve our respect, care, and continued commitment to their welfare. I valued the opportunity to hear their concerns and understand their expectations.
Our engagement with PenCom provided clarity on pension enhancement for eligible retirees and will help guide our next steps.
I believe our responsibility to the people who have served this institution extends beyond their years in active service.
I remain committed to following through on these discussions, strengthening our engagement with PenCom, and ensuring that pension matters receive the attention they deserve.

A young Nigerian can learn to drive a tractor, process food, or install an irrigation system. But the real test begins after the training: can they turn that skill into a business, earn an income, and create jobs? That is where opportunity must meet access.
At the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit today, I contributed to a high-level plenary on scaling skills, jobs and inclusive opportunities, hosted by @officialNESG and @MTNFoundationNG . The discussion centred on why training must go hand in hand with access to finance, equipment and markets if young people are to build sustainable livelihoods in agriculture.
Financial institutions, corporate foundations and value-chain partners each have a role to play. By connecting skills to these opportunities, we can help young agripreneurs build viable businesses, create jobs and contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth.

“It’s just ginger.”
Tell that to the farmer paying school fees with each harvest, the processor growing a business, or the exporter taking Nigerian ginger to global markets.
For each, ginger means income, opportunity, and a livelihood.
It’s not just ginger.
