So who were the teams that wanted to offer-sheet Pavel Mintyukov? Asking for a friend. #FlyTogether

Tristan Luneau is what the Ducks thought they had in Jamie Drysdale. #FlyTogether

Nice bounceback with some big saves in the 3rd period for Dostal. He looked much better in the 3rd. #FlyTogether

It's funny I didn't even notice Mintyukov was missing and Mitchell was in there. At least Mitchell provides some extra toughness back there. #FlyTogether
Ducks are 5-1-0 with Mitchell in the lineup. #JustSayin #FlyTogether

Tweeted a couple weeks ago that the Ducks looked better because they had players willing to play a lesser role. However, that only really works if your star players are playing like star players. Well they haven't been. Maybe this goal will get them back going. #FlyTogether

One thing I miss seeing is Cutter Gauthier use his speed, haven't seen much of that this year. Teams are forcing the Ducks to dump it more often than not. #FlyTogether

If I had a nickel for goals against Dostal where he's out of his crease during it, I'd have almost Dostal's salary. #FlyTogether

They've literally been the best pairing by a large margin according to xGF%. #FlyTogether
I’m sorry but Hinds and Luneau is not a good pairing. They have both been so out of position and don’t seem to know where the other is. They keep getting burned with bad gap control and letting forwards get behind them. #FlyTogether

NGL I kinda said this at the time. Seem e like a panic move after Leos offer sheet. #FlyTogether
Not that he’s been bad per se, but Ducks would’ve been better off letting Pavel Mintyukov go and taking the cap savings. Pretty minimal difference between him and the other young defensemen.

Things like this is what is expected of Leo Carlsson after signing that contract. #FlyTogether
Never forget when Adam Banks was on a fast break, cheered for himself from the bench, and then proceeded to score the goal.

Good sign. Lines I'd like to see Granlund-Leo-Klepov Nesty-Cutter-Sennecke Killorn-McQueen-Greer Mallot-Washe-Caufield Really wanna see that 2nd line and Leo/Klepov duo get another look but this time with Granlund instead of Killorn. #FlyTogether
Mikael Granlund (upper-body) is on the ice for today’s practice. #FlyTogether

I get it, I said it at the time, Leo signing that contract puts a target on his back. However, he's still 21 and in his 4th season, expecting him to be a prime MacK or Eichel right now 7 games into year 1 of that deal. BTW he's on a 100 point pace at 21 YO #FlyTogether

Paid 18M and doesn't at with one guy, all of a sudden he misses him? Shouldn't need to worry about who he plays with if he's getting paid like that

Why Caufield is on PP1? Net front? PP1 has lost what made the PP1 so good early with having 5 high skill players that can play any spot, and moving around making plays. I liked Klepov getting a look there without Granlund but went back to PP2 in the 3rd. #FlyTogether

Got home late, watched the game. Quick Thoughts: -Klepov and McQueen are still raw but showed flashes. -Liked Cutter at center -Dostal might just be "mid" (above to slightly above average) -Tired of the Leo narratives on X. I think he misses Terry #FlyTogether

Gonna be interesting seeing Cutter at center. I think with Sennecke's playmaking on the wing Cutter at center could work. Allows him to use his speed more, which I haven't seen much this season. #FlyTogether
Forward lines from Ducks practice: Killorn-Carlsson-Klepov Nesterenko-Gauthier-Sennecke Vatrano-McQueen-Caulfield Malott-Washe-Greer (Colangelo) #FlyTogether

Hinds-Luneau has been pretty good. Instead of moving them up they just move Luneau up. Like they are scared to have Minty on the 3rd pairing. #FlyTogether

Couple reasons I think this is happening. Shot selection teams are shooting less 31.4 to 27.6 per team per game since 21-22. Shot blocking has also increased. Shooting less, at the same time more shot blocks, so the shots that actually get to the goalie are higher quality.
The #NHL’s league-wide SV% continues to decline: 2024-25: .901 2025-26: .896 2026-27: .891 (so far) Teams are averaging just 26 shots/game, and players are continuing to be more selective with their chances. Is .895 the new benchmark for a good NHL goalie? #NHL #FantasyHockey

Also add in the more attempts to block shots also can cause more screens if they miss the block attempt. Teams aren't just peppering the goalie from all angles which helps the save%.

Ducks are 4-1 on the season and hasn't been pretty at times, but are getting the job done. Take away the 2nd period vs the Oilers and this defense has been great. Ducks lost talent in the offseason but gained better role players, and it's showing right now. #FlyTogether
