Heading over to @BeerCityCode for the next few days. It’ll be good to learn new things and see some old and new friends. #beercitycode #bcc24
Does anyone have any contacts left at @Pluralsight that might be able to help me with the labyrinthine process to end our subscription - won't let you leave online, won't respond to requested e-mails, and now blocking the exit like a gym membership, etc. Only a few days left.
Are others getting @pluralsight security errors and getting locked out of Pluralsight entirely all of a sudden?

A 166-page report from Microsoft qualitatively exploring GPT-4V capabilities and usage. Describes visual+text prompting techniques, few-shot learning, reasoning, etc.
Looks like it will be a must-read for GPT-4V power users 👀
ChatGPT can offer some very "shady" Code Suggestions that can seriously impede usage - How to reduce the bad number significantly by using Custom Instructions - heavily inspired by a recent thread by @ardalis and wanted to summarize bruce-abernethy.medium.com/r…
When you're going to talk to some college computer science students about "artificial intelligence" and want to cover some of the many emerging topics that literally keep changing and evolving each week ... anything big I'm missing?
In discussing how AI and automation are being used and impacting the software development industry, it is important to define some basic terms and concepts - talking about the “Laborer, Craftsman, and Artist” and the distinctions between them. bruce-abernethy.medium.com/l…

Great reminders from Michael Eaton to be a better developer/human at #beercitycode2023 @BeerCityCode I guess I have some blogging to do.
Such an important message.
Failing Successfully. FAIL “First Attempt In Learning” @cassandrafaris @BeerCityCode #beercitycode2023
Spending the next two days at @BeerCityCode - starting today learning what's new with ASP.NET APIs in .NET 7 with @cwoodruff . Which is very nostalgic having started the ancestor of this conference with him some 16 years ago ... it's been such a great ride.
I feel like I have an "AI" budget now like my "Streaming" budget ... I switch between Netflix, HBO Max, Disney, etc every so often to "catch up" on the unique stuff. Now I moved my Midjourney money to GitHub CoPilot and now considering ChatGPT Plus but really only one at a time.
Processing a lot from #FlutterForward this morning - unexpected goodness with the 3D demos, and WASM and Impeller demos, and other directions. Was still hoping to see more about the last "missing" 2D platforms like Watches and TVs from #Flutter
"GitHub CoPilot & ChatGPT for developer use" - anyone else had the “opportunity” to present/discuss these with company Risk Assessment or Strategic Planning committees? A lot of interest in adoption for work outside of R&D, but it needs to be vetted. Thoughts?
Did want to thank everyone who attended the #flutter presentation and precompiler at @codemash - really great to see everyone - a reminder the presentation, handouts, labs, code, etc. are up at coder.camp for a little while yet for those who are interested.
