Honestly, this is how it’s always been😭 So many Fever fans are from racial minorities, and would never partake in racism + are actively against it, but are regularly called slurs/names by Angel/A’ja fans just for supporting a team they don’t agree with. Most of us are just here to watch basketball tbh.
Even the race wars around Caitlin and Angel started back in college, primarily because of the way Angel’s supporters started claiming anyone who doesn’t support Angel is racist. This led to a bunch of supremely-right wing elements to latch themselves onto Caitlin/the Fever, and use it for their own narratives.
But those aren’t the actual Caitlin/Fever fans - Caitlin herself has said multiple times she stands against racism, and her actual fans are exactly the same. But they get so much hate and are called racist just for existing, a lot of which is spurred by Angel fans.
Anyway, long-winded way of saying that you’re right lol. I’m just glad people are finally realising how toxic the Angel/Dream fans can be.

The @IndianaFever have hired Excel Search & Advisory to lead their GM search following Amber Cox’s firing.
Pacers Sports & Entertainment will consolidate business operations under CEO Mel Raines and leave the team president role vacant as Indiana looks to build around Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston.

Why is there barely any coaching available for people in their 20s/30s in certain sports like basketball, cricket, and football? Most academies in these sports restrict coaching to kids under the age of 18, or to adults that are professionals.
But some sports like tennis and golf have lots of beginner coaching options for adults too.
It sucks tbh, sometimes you weren’t able to learn a particular sport when you were a kid, and you want to learn now, but there aren’t any options available to you.
I was lucky enough to play multiple sports as a kid, but there are still some I want to learn now, and I just can’t find a good place.

Love the new logo, much more professional than the earlier green icon. The ad also looks good - but honestly, I think y’all need a more targeted marketing campaign on other platforms too so people hear about you organically, and maybe move towards less faceless content. Time is of the essence tbh, lots of new voice products coming up, and while you guys might have one of the best product - if people don’t end up knowing about it fast, it won’t end up getting successful. My DMs are still open if you guys want to have a chat about marketing.

Where tf are you getting that from in the thread omg???😭😭😭 They said they’ll root against the Valkyries because it’s giving anti-black - WHERE WERE THE REFS MENTIONED????? Atleast engage on logic bruh.

tf are you saying bro??? There have been so many tweets/threads like this, where Angel fans are calling Valks fans racist / anti black. Just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

So you think it’s fine for Angel fans to be calling Valkyries fans anti-black, because the Valkyries mostly have biracials? If this is your take, then honestly I’m going to stop engaging with you further. I’m not going to stand for y’all erasing people’s identity for your own narratives.

A 52 free-throw-attempt gap is the largest FTA discrepancy over a 5-game stretch in W Finals history.
No other Finals series has more than 9 FTA differential. The Valkyries has 78 to Dream's 130 or 10.4 FTA per game differential. The highest recorded gap was Game 4 with +18 FTA.

Exactly my point bruh, their identity is upto them - and nothing gives Angel fans the right to claim that they’re not black because they’re biracial. And I’m not white just btw.

are you not reading the tweet bruh, Deloris isn’t the one talking about the Valkyries team having biracials, the Angel fan who responded is. And this was one example, there are so many tweets saying the same thing.

Yeahh, and media also overlooks them the same way lol

Just because you haven’t seen it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. There are whole threads of discourse started by AR fans about what it means to be black, and whether biracials are black.
I would love for Gabby Williams to win WNBA finals MVP, but honestly Kiah Stokes winning it would be a very fitting depiction of the same “team over individual” mindset that got the Valkyries this far.
The Valkyries entire campaign has turned a group of underdog players who had been overlooked by their original teams, into this super strong team that puts the team over themselves, and are one match away from being WNBA champions.
Kiah Stokes in the playoffs has done just that. She’s been there for whatever the team needed. Often what she does is not flashy or leads to crazy stats in the scoresheet, but she’s often changed the game with hustle plays, rebounds, and completely tying up the other team’s strongest post players. She’s honestly a depiction of how doing your role well, without ego coming in, can create such an impact for a team.
For all the Dream fans calling Valkyries fans racist, did y’all forget what happened in your own arena? Or is racism only selectively problematic?
Most Dream/Angel fans who responded to this tweet did the following btw: (i) claimed the tweet is false and full of lies; (ii) asked for proof; (iii) sent the person hate and called them names; (iv) told the person to delete the tweet.
Your behaviour shows you never actually cared about racism. You just used race wars to push your narratives and pull other people down. Enough is enough.

Followed two groups for most of the day, but then also just walked around the other holes and watched a few lesser known players play too. Lesser crowd there so honestly a better spectator experience too

nah bro, it’s fine when they win - when they lose is when the narratives, name calling, race wars and blaming start.
