Remember to practice self-care tonight.
Drink as much caffeine and alcohol you can starting at 6 pm when polls first close. Since one is a stimulant and one is a depressant, they’ll combine harmoniously in your system, allowing you to remain alert yet calm as results pour in.

there's a japanese color book from the 1930s (sanzo wada's dictionary of color combinations) that designers are obsessed with. i've been turning the palettes into men's outfits. here are some of my favorite combos.

In addition to massaging tight face fascia, a neck focused lymph drainage massage can reduce facial puffiness + improve cognitive function.
This was the first video I tried back when my health was terrible.
I still use it now.
Some people get more from these exercises than any diet or supplement gives them.
Pair the two together.

KY-06 is the first toss-up House race to close on Election Night (6 PM ET). Here are my benchmarks for what it could signify nationally:
🟥>R+8: Pack it up
🟥R+5–8: Blue ripple
🟥R+0–4: A 2018-style repeat
🟦D+0–3: Blue tsunami like 2006
🟦>D+4: Reverse 2010 for Democrats

The answer I arrived at in some recent research into the 3rd century is that what's missing from this discussion is that it is specifically the Eastern Mediterranean that got into gnosticism.
This is because the eastern Mediterranean of middle and late antiquity had a lot of material prosperity and safety but also a lot of inequality, stagnant social and economic mobility, and anxiety around status, whether the music was about to stop, plus ennui from migration and urbanization caused by the pax romana.
It is the single time and place in history which most resembles our own in terms of what adaptive and maladaptive pathologies were viable. Alexandria was something like mixing a favela with LA.
It's not the terror and brutality of nature that makes people gnostic, or else it would have been the German tribes who thought it up. Gnosticism is fundamentally a disease of failing to thrive in artificial conditions that feel hostile to human nature. Flinching under the hand of a slave master is what gives you the idea of an evil demiurge, not watching lions kill antelope or whatever
