What makes this uncertainty so unbearable and detrimental to our mental health is the feeling that there's nothing we can do. It doesn't matter how hard we study we will still be missing 5 months of our course come exam time. We are calling for...#LeavingCert2021

This is an important point. Students argued for choice on a No detriment basis. It would be fairer for students to get their calculated grade BEFORE the exams, so they could then decide to sit or not
We will be seeking clarity from Minister on this & seeking this be considered

No other country is trying anything like this. At the very least students should have their prediction grades in may so they can make an informed decision about sitting the leaving cert. Norma wants a traditional exam+unions to lazy = disaster for students.
The option of calculated grades means absolutely nothing unless we get to see our calculated result before sitting the LC @NormaFoleyTD1 #LeavingCert2021
This is either a genius idea or going to blowback in our faces but at this point I'm so sick and tired of this mess I'm ready to roll those dice! #canceltheleavingcert2021 #LeavingCert2021 @astiunion
#TONIGHTVMTV As ASTI teachers refuse to teach, just put them on PUP; why on earth are Irish tax payers still paying their full salaries to do nothing
This did not age well... #LeavingCert2021
'Next week there will have to be clarity' on the Leaving Cert exam process for this year, Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD tells @MorningIreland | bit.ly/2MKVrw5
Now the leaving cert has to be cancelled. There's no way it can go ahead in any form if the "stakeholders" can't agree on anything. @astiunion @TUIunion @Education_Ire @NormaFoleyTD1 #LeavingCert2021 #canceltheleavingcert2021
Just why, how and what. How does this help any leaving cert student. @astiunion

@NormaFoleyTD1 @fiannafailparty @FineGael make up your mind on the #LeavingCert before sending us back to school. DO NOT USE SENDING US BACK AS A SAFETY NET FOR NOT MAKING A DECISION ON TIME #LeavingCert2021 @20216th

It deeply saddens me that the teacher unions do not have the students of 2021s corner i can guarantee not one teacher in this country can say that their class is ready to sit a leaving cert in 3 months

My child's mental health is being destroyed by Leaving Cert obsession. Govt & unions don't care about the students. As as parent I demand that predicted grades are announced immediately and mental health protected. #canceltheleavingcert2021 #parents4predictedgrades
