The very best thing about running a business is getting the ability to give someone great an opportunity to show the world who they are. Especially a person that’s been overlooked.

our FDE whose been doing trainings/implementations had an idea called walkthroughs to save himself time. these are generated on the fly, and personalized to the people/customers. we're going to tie this to our onboarding interview to make education personalized and automated.

HOW TO DESIGN A FACTORY Lots of talk these days about bringing back manufacturing to America. In light of that trend I've decided to give you a how-to-guide on designing a factory

similarly, if you manufacture parts, you need an API.
If you manufacture a machine, do yourself a favor and open source the entire development stack on your machine end-to-end If you do, you make it extremely easy for AIs to design products for your machine and ultimately you will increase the demand for your machines If you don’t, it will be reverse engineered or you will be abandoned The days of locking down your design files and process are over, best to accept that and ride the wave

fwiw, if you don't do custom work, an API can be a website with a price and a datasheet

Think next gen of hard tech founders should spend considerably more time studying the history of failed industrial companies. AI doesn't magically repeal the lessons of 100 years of industrial capitalism lol. Tendency to assume prior attempts failed because tech wasn't ready. Maybe it's true. Other times the fundamental economics never worked or customers didn't care enough. Some of the most impressive engineering teams are solving problems that don't actually need new tech.

The rust belt comeback begins
The year is 2050. The Great Lakes Megalopolis is the most valuable region on Earth. Minneapolis – Milwaukee – Chicago – Indianapolis – Cincinnati – Detroit – Columbus – Cleveland – Pittsburgh – Toronto – Buffalo – Montreal • 20% of the world's surface fresh water • Urban centers with finance & tech hubs, and great universities • Ontario runs one of the largest nuclear fleets in the world, generating up to 60% of its electricity, with grid-scale SMRs being built ahead of schedule. Illinois leads the US in nuclear power, and Michigan is bringing reactors back online. • The region holds some of the largest untapped copper-nickel-cobalt-platinum-chromite deposits in the world, along with the gallium, indium, and graphite that China guards so jealously. • The densest industrial base in the Western Hemisphere: heavy machinery, metal refineries, steel, auto, batteries, and aerospace backed by a deep pool of suppliers/engineers/skilled trades. • Climate-resilient cities with municipal capacity that can absorb millions more.

When you only do ONE THING and hyper focus on it... you usually gain a proficiency that generalists can't offer.

in 10 years, they're gonna look back at CMMC and say it's crazy that we put the burden for defense national security on these 10 person job shops
