How Silicon Valley, Sylvia Plath and a killer work ethic inspired a novel like no other

Sarah Rose Etter spent a few demoralizing years in Silicon Valley tech. It paid off with 'Ripe,' a surreal new novel that just might make her a household name.

“Narrators in contemporary novels have no capacity for explanation…because the narrators are so tightly focused to one interiority and that interiority is a 25 year old who has never read a book.” 🤣 -@blgtylr on Reading the Room podcast by @barbookcase was a great listen!
