Achievement unlocked: just spelled “daiquiri” correctly on the first try #DataEntryLife

OK, that was fun! We’ll probably try again tomorrow night, because those submissions aren’t going to process themselves and it’s more fun with company. G’night all!

Going on a livestream to… do data entry! Yep, you too can see the admin panel of 2005… today! (But seriously, this is all new and I’m sure it’s going to be weird) twitch.tv/barnivoredotcom

OK, last week it was funny, but it looks like Diageo is using the same stock response for all their brands, and it’s… not the smartest? @smirnoffUS cannot confirm or deny if their vodka contains, well, you name it.

It’s my second favourite dodgy response (the first will always be “don’t ask us, ask your doctor” and yes that was a real response once or twice over the years)

Biggest “effort” tonight is to avoid engaging that particular brand on Twitter. I mean, if they can’t confirm or deny their ingredients, what’s the dumbest thing they might be? Potato salad? They won’t deny it! What else are they hiding?

Got another one of the “our ingredients are proprietary so we can’t tell you if they’re vegan” responses, like they once lost a game of 20 questions on the first round and “oh no, you won’t catch me like that again!”

Sometimes we get responses in other languages sent in as screenshots. Which is totally fine! But it means I have to type it manually into Google Translate, and I am telling you For Science that saying the words out loud in a ridiculous accent is faster than typing in silence.

(And yes, that's a ridiculous accent that I think the language might sounds like. I didn't test typing German while saying everything with terrible frat boy North American Scottish accent, for example. I am a professional.)

MFW ciders show up in the submissions queue now that we've got them as a separate category
Always a treat when you double check a company and they offer their Barnivore listing as proof

There are those who work late on Dec 24th because it's just another day to them, and then there are some of us who are simply waiting for the kids to finally fall asleep. Whichever side you're on, happy holidays, and/or happy Thursday!

I think we've found our new editor in chief! (Putting aside the fact that we don't even have articles of our own, though I must be mistaken since I get these offers every day...)
