In 2023, I campaigned for Peter Obi in Benue, where APC led LP by just 2,096 votes.
In 2027, my support is with Atiku Abubakar and ADC. I’m committed to the party and have set a personal target of mobilising 600,000+ votes for Atiku in Benue.
Benue has no reason to vote Tinubu
I am coming to make Benue work again. We deserve a state where people can live in peace, find opportunities, do business and feel proud to call Benue home.
That's the kind of future we want, and that's what I am is offering. Benue deserves better, and it's time to make it happen
Watching the mammoth crowd of organic supporters of Atiku Abubakar from Sokoto to Kebbi, one can only imagine how badly Tinubu deserved this total backlash against his Presidency. How can you turn a whole country against yourself in this manner???
ADC is unstoppable.
Never has a Governor on seat in Govt. House Makurdi, run his administration as if the Benue-South (Zone C) isn't a part of Benue State.
This is shocking!
@HyacinthAlia needs to understand one thing: Benue State is not a Catholic parish. It is a state that belongs to everyone.
By now, Tinubu and his supporters, as well as Peter Obi and his camp, must be feeling the heat. The massive crowd that came out in Sokoto to welcome Atiku and other ADC leaders for the campaign flag-off is something they can't easily ignore. The political atmosphere is changing.
My dear John,
I write on behalf of my family and the ADC in Benue state to commiserate with you on the passing to eternal glory of Baba, Victor Udugh Nyitse, whose sad event took place on the 12th of October, 2026.
Be consoled my friend.
Rt. Hon. Herman Hembe
Some memorable moments from Rt. Hon. Herman Iorwase Hembe’s visit to Oju.
2027, we are changing the story. No more lies. No more empty glory.
Make Benue Great Again!
This is Rt. Hon Terngu Tsegba, Benue ADC Senate candidate for the Benue north west district. He has been going ward to ward in the 92 wards of the district campaigning for ADC from top to bottom.
ADC will arise. ADC will shine.
Farmers need peace and security to return to their farms and earn a decent living. Our children deserve good schools, reliable electricity and a learning environment that gives them a real chance to succeed.
Our communities need accessible roads, clean drinking water and basic amenities. And our young people need jobs, skills and opportunities to build a future they can be proud of.
These are not too much to ask for. They are the basic things every community deserves.
My vision is a Benue where farmers can work without fear, children can learn without unnecessary challenges, communities can thrive and our youths can look forward to a brighter tomorrow.
A better future begins when we make people's everyday needs a priority.
— Rt. Hon. Herman Iorwase Hembe
Earlier today, I arrived at the Abuja residence of our National Chairman, Distinguished Senator David Alechenu Mark, ahead of an important meeting with our party’s presidential candidate, H.E. Atiku Abubakar @atiku, and other national leaders of the African Democratic Congress.
Glad to meet with @GRVlagos Rhode-Vivour, the ADC governorship candidate for Lagos State, alongside other governorship candidates from across the country.
This meeting brings us together as leaders and candidates to discuss the journey ahead, our party’s preparations and the direction we hope to take as we approach the 2027 general elections.
These engagements are important. They give us the opportunity to share ideas, strengthen our working relationship and build a common understanding of the task before us.
As we look towards 2027, our focus remains on building a stronger party and presenting a clear vision for a better Nigeria and a better Benue State.
The journey continues.

ADC GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE, BENUE STATE 2027
Rt Hon Hembe's brief remarks at the Zonal campaign launch of the ADC Benue South, (zone c), where flags were presented to candidates from the zone, including Senatorial candidate, David Olofu, House of Representatives candidates and state Assembly candidates
Today, I, Rt. Hon. Herman Iorwase Hembe, ADC governorship candidate for Benue State in 2027, had the opportunity to speak at the official campaign flag-off for Dr. David Olofu, PhD, and other ADC candidates in Benue South.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is a party for all Nigerians, and we are presenting candidates who are ready to serve and offer a different direction for our country.
I used the opportunity to appeal to our people in Zone C to support Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and vote for all ADC candidates across the ballot, from top to bottom.
I also urged them to recognise the place of their illustrious son, Senator David Mark, who currently serves as the National Chairman of our great party.
This is a moment for unity and collective effort. Let us come together and work towards the future we want for Benue State and Nigeria.
ADC — Arise!
FOR THE YOUTHS: 4 REASONS HERMAN HEMBE'S GOVERNORSHIP AGENDA FOCUSES ON THE FUTURE OF BENUE YOUTHS
The future of Benue State depends largely on the opportunities available to its young people. Here are four key areas of youth development outlined in Hembe's proposed agenda:
1. Employment Opportunities
Hembe will create more employment opportunities by supporting existing businesses, attracting investors and encouraging young people to establish and grow their own businesses.
2. Skills Acquisition and Youth Empowerment
Hembe will empower youths through vocational training, digital skills development and financial support for young entrepreneurs and startups.
3. Quality Education
Hembe will promote access to quality education through scholarship opportunities, affordable learning and professional development programmes that prepare young people for the future.
4. Youth Inclusion in Governance
Hembe will give young people a voice in governance by encouraging their participation in decision-making, leadership development and appointments into positions of responsibility.
A BETTER FUTURE FOR BENUE STARTS WITH INVESTING IN ITS YOUTHS.
ORYIMAN KA HEMBE
True development begins at the doorstep of the people.
"..My administration will grant full administrative and financial autonomy to all 23 local government areas in Benue State, returning power to the people where it truly belongs: at the grassroots. I will ABOLISH the evil system called JOINT ACCOUNT in Benue State.
Our local government chairmen will have the financial resources to REHABILITATE RURAL ROADS, provide RURAL ELECTRIFICATION, and improve PRIMARY HEALTHCARE services without unnecessary delays or having to wait for approvals from the relevant offices in Makurdi.
Most importantly, this will EMPOWER citizens to hold their local government chairmen ACCOUNTABLE for delivering meaningful development and improving the lives of people in their communities."
Rt Hon Herman Iorwase Hembe
ADC Governorship candidate for 2027.
Yes, our commitment is to make life affordable again for the good people of Benue State.
Every family deserves access to affordable food, quality education, good healthcare, decent housing, and opportunities to earn a living. Leadership must translate into better living conditions for our people.
Together, we can build a Benue where hard work pays, families can thrive, and hope is restored.
Rescue, Restore and Rebuild Benue!

WHO IS RT. HON. HERMAN IORWASE HEMBE, AND WHY DOES HE WANT TO GOVERN BENUE STATE?
Born in 1975, Rt. Hon. Herman Iorwase Hembe is a lawyer and former member of the House of Representatives who represented the Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency, popularly known as Jechira.
His journey in public service began in 2007 when he was first elected to the National Assembly. He attended Mount St. Gabriel’s Secondary School, Makurdi, before proceeding to Benue State University, where he studied Law and graduated in 2001. He is a legal practitioner and a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
During his years in the House of Representatives, Hembe has highlighted contributions and legislative efforts in areas such as education, rural electrification, water supply, healthcare, transportation, and the empowerment of women and young people. He has also pointed to his legislative record, including the sponsorship and support of more than 30 bills.
Today, as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the 2027 Benue State governorship election, Hembe is asking the people of Benue to give him the opportunity to lead the state.
His vision, outlined in his blueprint, “Make Benue Great Again,” centres on building a state where peace and security are restored, farmers can return safely to their farms, displaced persons can return to their communities, and development reaches every part of Benue.
Security and rural development are two major priorities of his agenda. He has pledged to address insecurity and improve the living conditions of rural communities through better roads, electricity, access to clean water and stronger primary healthcare services.
Benue State is blessed with fertile land, hardworking people and enormous potential. Yet, many citizens want to see greater progress in their daily lives: safer communities, better opportunities for farmers, jobs for young people, quality education for their children and access to essential services.
As the 2027 election approaches, the important question is how the next administration can translate its promises into practical results that improve the lives of ordinary people.
Hembe is presenting his experience, ideas and vision to the people of Benue. Ultimately, it is the people who will decide who earns their mandate and the responsibility of leading the state.
Oryiman Ka Hembe! (Hembe is the Saviour.)
The vision is a Benue where peace, unity and development are more than campaign promises—they are realities people can experience in their communities.

Kindly accept my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy.
