Malcolm Gladwell is a fucking fraud and has made a career and millions just spewing bullshit that falls apart if you have a working brain or decide to lightly fact-check him. A phenomenally stupid man and grifter.
I have just published a piece that is very important to me. It's about why so many "progressives" and people on "the left" are lying to us right now about crime, safety, and repression, and what we should be doing instead. equalityalec.substack.com/p/…

I still can’t understand why they didn’t begin working on solutions after the issues with Game 3. Agree that this would be completely embarrassing if a league championship is decided during the middle of the afternoon.
This is a terrible look for the WNBA -- and there is no way spin it. I realize all the potential solutions sucked but the prospect of crowning a champion on a Thursday afternoon is just brutal optics (and will be brutal television ratings.) If you are the league, you are praying for a G7.

The middle class is an imperial construction, propped up by exploited global south labor to sell the working class cheap goods at artificially low cost. It’s literally an anti-communist illusion: the lie of financial security and comfort that prevents working class solidarity.
Everyone thinks they are middle class until they lose their job

Unclench Marylyn Tan The Glass Chapbook Series 2026 Time can’t find its way out. Marylyn Tan is a poet whose verse wounds longing as a thing untaught in pop-up anatomy classes. If Tan’s previous work Gaze Back found that the abyss never changes its password,

then Unclench digs a hole for the glass eye’s ghosted vision. Appetite is a spell the stomach learns might it unteach the body. Desire is a creature that switches gardens to improvise god. Normalization a food that tricks the child into an upbringing made of wax.

Tan knows that the interior stretches its own imprecise radar over skins touch will only hear of. Listening, here, can throw its voice.

In early 2023 my insides failed me for no reason and I lost mind and weight and watched this and I still think it's the reason I woke up in July 2023 all better
