Anambra is the state with fewest private schools in Nigeria, because the government schools are standard. You can’t move from one street to another without private schools in my state, there are areas without private schools in Anambra

I guess they are going to import teachers from abroad to teach in this schools.This is where politicians always miss it
Enugu State government is building 260 smart schools and each of the smart schools costs about N400M. When you multiply 400M by 260 you can get a clear idea of the total budget which is the total 35% of Enugu State budget allocated to education.
I think the smart school project is a not a good idea. A tiny fraction of that budget can be used to renovate all the schools in Enugu State and equip them properly. Also invest in learning resources and technology.
I can’t see a clear plan on teachers training and teachers salaries improvement. Little attention is paid to teachers and so much attention on smart schools which to me is not a great idea at this point.
Enugu State government should rethink on this project and renovate all schools, train its teachers properly and increase their salaries very well to attract more quality professionals.
