Had a lovely walk at #RSPBArne a couple of days ago. Lots of fab wildlife spotted including marbled white, sika deer, Dartford Warblers & more πŸ¦‹πŸ›πŸœπŸ. Junior Ranger #1 was also inspired to do his take on a @BBCSpringwatch intro - @ChrisGPackham he might be after your job πŸ˜‰

Very disappointed to see @Morrisons #HuntersTryst cutting back trees & shrubs today. No apparent consideration or checks for nesting birds. Suggest you update you and your contractor's awareness of the relevant #wildlife legislation. @NatureScot @ukwildlifecrime @PoliceScotland

Had a wee trip down to Yetholm Loch today hoping to catch up with the drake smew. Not only was he showing nicely, but there was also a redhead smew, woodcock, whooper swans, & a bonus pair of pintails. Nice! @Birding_Borders @EdinburghNats @CasualBirderPod #rubbishphonescoping

Bats are awesome but aren't always the most welcome houseguests. Last year the @NatureScot #BatsInHouses team answered more than 450 enquiries and saved more than 50 roosts from exclusion. Gutted this amazing service is falling victim to the budget cuts axe. #LivingWithWildlife
We love bats and their amazing midge-eating abilities! For more info on the bat species in Scotland, their declining numbers and protected status, as well as for advice if they're in your home (for example, roosting in your attic), see nature.scot/plants-animals-a… #EndWildlifeCrime

Raptor persecution and illegal use of traps is still going strong no matter what certain organisations might like you to think... #wildlifecrime #raptorpersecution
We are appealing after a peregrine falcon was found dead in an illegal baited pole trap near a public path south of Wester Bavelaw, Balerno, on Thurs 23 Nov. Call 101 if you saw anything suspicious in the area - Inc 1376 of 25/11/23 More: ow.ly/f3VL50QbXUI

Thrilled to hear the lovely @mrmichaelball say how much he likes #bats on his show this morning. How about getting one of the fab @_BCT_ folk on your show?! Trustee @SteveRoeBatMan has just won an award for his #BatChat #podcast! Wee video of tonight's roost count for fun πŸ™‚

Can't believe what I'm hearing. Swift bricks aren't even controversial. They're a cheap, easy way to restore our dwindling bird population. Yet neither Tory Minister, nor Lab opposition, will commit to make them mandatory. What planet are they on?? @Natures_Voice @WriterHannahBT

Another 2 new #moths for the garden list - firstly narrow-bordered five-spot burnet, not just flying adults but cocoons too 😊 Secondly, well, I'm hoping @MOTHIDUK can help with that! (Rubbish pic I know but only managed a quick snap on my phone!). @EdinburghNats @BCeastscotland
