Arianna Turturro is one of my favorite people in the whole world. She was my assistant during the big DC move out west, & I am forever grateful that we navigated those strange waters together. Her warmth, compassion, & sense of humor helped me through some very difficult days 1/

Arianna made me a better editor, a better colleague, and by extension, a better human being. I am one of her biggest admirers, and sometimes can’t believe the good fortune I have to call her a friend. 3/ @TheAriannaThe

That alone makes her aces in my book, and yet Arianna was pivotal in my own learning curve as an editor by teaching me how to be more collaborative. I cherish those conversations we had about scripts with her razor-sharp storytelling insights. 2/

Comic People: Can anyone recall which comics this Dark Knight subscription ad ran in? I know it ran in JLA #250. I'm trying to remember where I first saw it because that was the first time I had even heard it existed.

Could not agree more.
This is for me a GREAT example of an effective page turn in comics. It's not a big action shot, but it packs a punch. (from UNCANNY X-MEN #194, Chris Claremont, John Romita Jr., Steve Leialoha, Dan Green, Glynis Wein, Tom Orzechowski and edited by Ann Nocenti)

Comic Book People! Does this "panoramic environment broken up into panels" technique have a label? The earliest I've seen it done is Eisner's The Spirit (of course). I'm not 100% sure Eisner invented this technique, but I'm willing to bet he did.
