Took my 12-year-old in for her regular checkup today, and halfway through, the nurse goes,
“Mom, can you wait outside for a few mins?”
I said, “Nah, I’m good right here.”
She tried again. “It’ll only be for a minute.”
I told her, “That’s okay. Me and her dad already agreed our kids aren’t staying alone behind closed doors with adults we don’t personally know, medical staff included. Whatever you gotta ask her or check, you can do it while I’m sitting here.”
Her whole vibe changed.
She looked annoyed, said basically nothing, then walked out.
And what got me was... she never came back to do whatever supposedly needed me outta the room for.
That made me side-eye the whole thing even more.
Soon as she left, my daughter looked at me and said, “Thank you for staying.”
Yeah. That was enough for me...

As a BC property owner from Alberta, and a long and continuing member of the energy industry; one of the best election results ever.
Canadas most woke, progressive and broken province just stunned the world by destroying the NDP (needles, drugs and poverty) party.
British Columbia just annihilated David Eby and his NDP party by electing the first Conservative government in generations.
This stunning victory proves a few things.
-David Eby is an idiot and so is anyone who voted for him.
-Progressives and leftists are willing to endure a horrendous amount of abuse and incompetence to defend their ideology before accepting and admitting to reality.
-Leftists and progressives do have a pain threshold.
-There were not enough immigrants, activists, criminals, communists and welfare recipients to overcome reality.
-Canadian politics is frustratingly schizophrenic. Trudeau and Carney did and continue to do to Canada what Eby did to BC. Yet Liberals are hailed as our saviours with a 3000% approval rating.
Something does not add up.
Congratulations to BC for finally seeing the light. We have been pointing the flashlight at you for years.
