has anyone noticed this new AI icon on X? or is it just me missing out on stuff? 👀 clicked it and got: “OpenAI API key is not configured. Open Settings to add more” but i found no info about this one >< also, my Grok is failed to load history, upload files, and can't share links. does anyone know how to fix it?

1.56M ETH. 3.4× faster. 23,877 mainnet slots. the numbers are looking GOOD 👀📈 but what actually happens in those milliseconds? on Ethereum, a block needs to travel across the network so validators can receive it and participate in consensus. > the earlier it arrives, the more time they have to work with it before the relevant deadline. according to Optimum’s latest metrics, mump2p propagation spread is around 3.4× faster than libp2p GossipSub: roughly 180 ms less propagation time in this comparison. and across 23,877 mainnet slots, the reported p95 arrival time was 298 ms. why care about milliseconds? Ethereum operates on tight timing windows, and network delays can affect when validators see the data they need. > improving propagation gives the network a better chance of delivering that data in time. the interesting part of @get_optimum isn’t just making data travel faster. it’s working on a layer where small timing differences can matter across a global network ^^ the infrastructure you barely notice can still make a meaningful difference. explore the live metrics: hub.getoptimum.xyz
adding a new networking layer to Ethereum sounds like it could mean rebuilding a lot of existing infrastructure. but how does Optimum fit into the setup validators already use? the key piece to understand is the sidecar architecture. think of it as an additional component that works alongside an existing system, handling a specific job without replacing the whole thing. Optimum Gateway is designed to work alongside an Ethereum Consensus Layer client. it connects the client to Optimum’s mump2p network, helping propagate blocks and attestations. this matters because validators already rely on established clients and infrastructure. an additional networking layer can offer another way to move data while keeping the existing client in place. of course, “works alongside” doesn’t mean zero setup. operators still need to configure and integrate the Gateway properly. i find this part of Optimum really cool because infrastructure upgrades aren’t only about how much faster a protocol can be. they’re also about how it fits into the systems people are already running. > the architecture is just as important as the performance gains !! explore the Gateway guide 👇 getoptimum.github.io/optimum… @get_optimum @blockchainjeff @cryptooflashh

what if the biggest bottleneck in blockchain isn’t computing power, but how quickly data moves? at TOKEN2049 Singapore, MIT Professor and Optimum co-founder Muriel Medard sat down with DavidThaDegen from GenzioMedia to discuss a part of blockchain infrastructure that often gets less attention: data propagation. a blockchain can have powerful hardware and fast execution, but blocks and attestations still need to reach validators across the network on time. that’s why Optimum focuses on the networking layer, using Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC) to help data travel more efficiently, while working alongside existing Ethereum clients. another point i noticed is the emphasis on consistency. predictable delivery matters because validators need enough time to process information and participate in consensus. peak speed alone doesn’t tell the whole story. with @get_optimum now live on Ethereum mainnet, this research is moving into real-world infrastructure. it’s a good reminder that improving blockchain performance can also mean making the networks we already use work better. watch the full conversation: x.com/Genzio/status/21140399…

how can sending coded data help a blockchain network move information faster? let’s say you’re sending a big puzzle to a group of friends. the usual approach is to send the original pieces and hope everyone receives enough of them to complete the picture. if some pieces get lost, they may need to wait for those specific pieces to arrive again. Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC) takes a different approach. instead of forwarding only the original pieces, nodes can send coded combinations of those pieces. each combination carries useful information, and the receiver can recover the original data once it has collected enough independent combinations. this gives the network more flexibility. nodes can forward useful coded data without waiting to reconstruct the entire original message first. Optimum uses RLNC in its mump2p protocol to accelerate data propagation across Ethereum. the clever part is how information travels through the network, not just how quickly one machine can send it. im still learning the deeper networking details myself, but this is what makes RLNC interesting to me: a different way of moving data can change how efficiently an entire network communicates. learn more: getoptimum.xyz/mump2p @get_optimum @blockchainjeff @cryptooflashh

so, Optimum is live on mainnet. what does an operator actually do to get started? 👀 let's take a look at Optimum Console. think of it as the control panel for managing your connection to Optimum’s network. operators can use the console to manage gateways and generate the credentials needed to connect them to mump2p. from there, the Gateway works alongside an existing Ethereum Consensus Layer client to help propagate blocks and attestations through Optimum’s network. i like this because adopting new infrastructure becomes a much more practical conversation. no need to replace your entire Ethereum setup. the Gateway acts as an additional networking layer, connecting your existing client to Optimum. of course, there’s still an integration process, and console access depends on operator onboarding. but for anyone running validator infrastructure, this is the part worth exploring beyond the headline launch numbers. mainnet is live. now operators can look into how to connect. 📌 explore the docs: docs.getoptimum.xyz/ 📌 console & Gateway guide: getoptimum.github.io/optimum… @get_optimum @blockchainjeff @cryptooflashh

AI AGENTS AREN’T JUST A NARRATIVE ANYMORE. They are generating real revenue. Look at @termix_ai on DefiLlama’s BNB Chain AI Agents dashboard. TermiX is showing up among the top revenue generating protocols in the category. But the bigger story isn’t just the ranking. TermiX is building a marketplace where Ai agents can hire other agents, fund jobs through on chain escrow, deliver work and settle payments transparently. Think about what that enables: - Agents can pay for specialized services. - Builders can monetize the capabilities they create. - On chain escrow helps make payments conditional on delivery. - Every completed job can contribute to an agent’s verifiable track record. This is how the Ai agent economy can move beyond chatbots and experiments toward autonomous services with real payment flows. The next step for Ai isn’t just making agents smarter. It’s enabling them to work, transact and build economic relationships with each other. That’s the future termix ai is working toward.

being fast is great. being consistently fast might matter even more. imagine two delivery services. the first usually delivers your package quickly, but sometimes it arrives much later than expected. the second delivers at a more predictable pace, so you can plan around when it will arrive. blockchain networks face a similar challenge. validators need blocks to arrive in time to participate in consensus, and unpredictable delays can make that harder. that’s why i found another number from Optimum’s mainnet launch interesting: early measurements reported 7.88× lower block-arrival variance compared with Ethereum’s native Gossipsub baseline. in simple terms, the arrival times were more consistent in those measurements. combined with the reported 2–4× faster propagation, it highlights two important parts of network performance: how quickly data arrives and how predictable that delivery is. these are early results, so im curious to see how they hold up as more operators use mump2p in production. when a whole network depends on timely information, consistency deserves a place in the conversation too. @get_optimum @blockchainjeff @cryptooflashh

a block can be created in milliseconds, but the rest of the network still needs to hear about it. ethereum validators are spread across the world, and every new block needs to travel through the network so validators can receive it and participate in consensus. the challenge is getting that information there quickly and consistently. with its mainnet launch, Optimum reports that mump2p propagates blocks 2–4× faster than Ethereum’s native Gossipsub baseline in early measurements. how does it do that? mump2p uses Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC), which allows nodes to forward useful coded pieces of data before reconstructing the entire message. that can reduce delays caused by repeatedly forwarding the same data through the network. and this is about more than a nice speed number. faster block delivery can give validators more time to receive information and respond within Ethereum’s tight timing windows. the result is promising, and I’m curious to see how the performance holds up as mainnet usage grows. the networking layer deserves more attention, for sure ^^ @get_optimum @blockchainjeff @cryptooflashh

after 12–15 months of building, @get_optimum is officially LIVE on Ethereum mainnet 🚀 this is a pretty big milestone !! Optimum has been working on a problem that’s easy to overlook when we talk about blockchain: how quickly can data travel between validators? Ethereum relies on validators around the world receiving blocks and attestations in time to do their jobs. when data takes longer to arrive, that delay can affect validator performance. now, Optimum’s mump2p protocol is live in production, with around 22,000 validators across 16 node operators and more than 1.4 million ETH in active stake connected to the network. that’s a lot of infrastructure moving from development into real-world use. for me, mainnet is where the team can keep measuring performance, learning from operators, and showing what faster, more consistent data propagation can bring to Ethereum. the launch is a milestone. now we get to watch what comes next. @blockchainjeff @cryptooflashh
