I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read my thread of screenshots. Of course I'm not going to just sit there idle when he just confessed to me in a call that he pursued and dated a minor. Also, I'm not going to sit by ESPECIALLY since he was still in spaces with minors at the time of this. Yes we didn't know each other for long at ALL, he had even mentioned in passing that he was still getting to know me. So the FACT he told me truly make me wonder how many of them actually knew and just wrote it off nothing or a "mistake" like he was saying. I've also seen some people comment on how no one said anything because no one would believe them, but I'd like to point out how EASY HE ADMITTED TO IT ALL OVER TEXT. So if he told others before me, why did no one try? Also why stay? Why continue to be friends or acquainted with someone like that? Knowing, and doing nothing, or downplaying what he did is awful, and disgusting thing to do, and that means they condone and supported that. Even if you are worried about yourself, wouldn't the idea of being labeled as a friend to a pedo worse than being someone who didn't have proof? (Which now there is proof) I know we probably won't get an answer to our whys, but I certainly hope he stays gone. As for his friends, and if any of them knew and didn't do or say anything, they are a problem too. We have to protect the kids on the internet. It's different from the 2000's and 2010s. We are the adults now, it's our responsibility as adults who are creating and in these spaces. The children won't know better, an adult would, it's why we have to be so cautious and aware for everyone's safety and wellbeing. I hope everyone learns to accept that. Speak up, if something is fucked. That' how people know.
