“You can have women’s feelings or you can have a country” is prob my fav thing I’ve seen on here the last few days (can’t remember where I saw it)
I love making posts about White Girl Fall, and shopping trips to Target or Hobby Lobby and pumpkin spice creamer and soup season, not because I'm a passive consoomer, but because there's a real culture and people behind what I'm saying, and everyone instinctively knows it

No, what you should be doing is reporting that fundraiser as fraudulent.

Good morning, happy Lord’s Day, and happy St Crispian’s Day!
What's he that wishes so?
My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin;
If we are mark'd to die, we are enow
To do our country loss; and if to live,
The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
God's will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,
Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
Such outward things dwell not in my desires.
But if it be a sin to covet honour,
I am the most offending soul alive.
No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England.
God's peace! I would not lose so great an honour
As one man more methinks would share from me
For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is call'd the feast of Crispian.
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say "To-morrow is Saint Crispian."
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
And say "These wounds I had on Crispian's day."
Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember, with advantages,
What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words-
Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester-
Be in their flowing cups freshly remembred.
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall neer go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he neer so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accursd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

What a beautiful brisk day in my motherland, the USA.
Praise God for this majestic nation that he has given to me, to which, he has given me.
Hail Columbia!

Caveat: I talk to my husband ab basically everything and he trumps all:
I take political takes from pastors w a grain of salt
I take tech takes from politicos and pastors w a grain of salt
I take theological takes from politicos or techies or even pastors w a grain of salt
Men and women's bodies are made differently. Rise and grind and lift heavy and protein-only maxx and fasting and push yourself til exhausted works for men really well but just doesn't work for women at all long-term. Rest, nourish, calm, movement, balance: this is a woman's vocab

I wasn't prepared for that when I got married. I had no I idea that women could go to bed an hour before you, wake up an hour after you, and still be more tired than you. I just accept it now.
Many good points being made ab this clip, like the one below
What kills be about it is that the argument is basically “this makes me feel bad so it must be sinful, so it should be off limits of all Christians”
You can’t find a better example of longhousing honestly 😂😂
This is hilarious. I am just glancing across my bookshelves of Christian classics.
Divine Comedy and Paradise Lost are gothic and read like horror to a modern audiences even if theological.
Beowulf (Christian-Pagan syncretism) is essentially a ghost story about a guy fighting a demon.
Decameron is series grim gothic tales mostly featuring killing
Crime and Punishment centers on a grisly murder
The works of Flannery O’Connor are as gruesome as Pulp Fiction
But heck, what do those great Christian authors know about art? Real Christian art is Pure Flicks and the Hallmark channel with more references to Jesus.
“I just don’t get it guys. Why can’t Christian’s create art???”
